Hi Chris, sorry for your experience. Our gifts sent are valid for over 1 year and depending on brand, can be redeemed online or in-store and most times both.

In this instance, the gift you describe was a free gift you received as part of a promotion by O2 who set the parameters around claiming the gift.

You're absolutely right to expect a smooth process and timely replies, especially when there’s an expiry involved. We’ve clearly fallen short on both occasions and that’s not the experience we want anyone to have on Prsnt.

To clarify a few things:

The device lock error happens when someone deletes their account, as the system applies a 14-day deactivation window for security and fraud reasons. During that time, unfortunately, it blocks the same device from registering again.

You're right — we should make this clearer and ensure there’s a better way to access previous accounts or re-register.

We’re fixing that flow right now to avoid similar issues for others. In the meantime, I’ve manually reactivated your account and you’ll be able to access your gift straight away.

I’ve also sent you a little something by way of apology — a small Prsnt from us — and if you'd like us to fully remove your data after that, just let us know and we’ll do it immediately.

Thanks for getting in touch — I can imagine how frustrating it must feel when things don’t work as expected.

Just to clarify, the free O2 gift code requires the latest version of the Prsnt app to work, as mentioned in the offer details. If you're seeing issues entering the code, a quick update via the App Store or Google Play usually resolves it straight away.

If you’ve updated and are still having trouble, feel free to send over the code you’re trying to redeem or the email you signed up with, and we’ll be happy to take a look for you.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry to hear you weren’t able to redeem the gift where you expected.

Just to clarify — the gift was successfully delivered by your daughter using our app, and the technology worked exactly as it should: she selected a Waitrose & Partners eGift card, and it was sent to you instantly.

That eGift can be used both online at Waitrose.com and in most Waitrose stores. Unfortunately, motorway service stations are often franchises, which means they don’t always accept standard Waitrose vouchers — something outside our control.

We understand it’s disappointing if the location wasn’t convenient, but the gift was valid and redeemable — just not at that particular branch. If you’d like help using it online instead, just get in touch with us at info@prsnt.co.uk, and we’ll be happy to guide you through it.

Hi there,

Thanks for your review — though we’re sorry to hear the experience didn’t land as intended.

Just to clear things up: the O2 Priority offer does state (before any payment is made) that the gift is a digital Waitrose eGift card, which can be used online or in-store to buy any flowers the recipient chooses. It also clearly mentions that the recipient will need to download the Prsnt app to open and use their gift — this is how we securely deliver all gifts sent via our platform.

We understand not everyone reads every detail, but everything is outlined both on the offer page and in our T&Cs. We’re sorry your mum’s phone didn’t support the app — older devices can occasionally run into issues, and we do try to help where possible.

We built Prsnt to make gifting thoughtful and flexible, not frustrating — and we’ll always listen to feedback, even if we think some of it might come from a bit of a misunderstanding.
