I waited for 6 days and i didnt get any review, support service didnt reply. I cancelled my subscription because it was a waste of time and money.
I used pubby a couple of years ago and…
I used pubby a couple of years ago and it worked pretty well. I will say that it says I had 243 reviews but amazon only reflected 181 so many must have been scams which stinks because I paid for the subscription.
Fast forward to now. I tried them again and I totally regret it. It is a horrible experience. I have reviews that don't show up, snaps that have been taken away after doing the work and submitting the reviews. No customer service or AI customer service. It has been nothing but wasted money and frustration. I would run not walk away from this site.
I don't know what changed but it is not worth the money try some of the other sites instead.
Expensive experience.
My experience was quite disappointing. You pay a monthly fee and they give you points to request reviews. Essentially, the points are enough for two reviews. To increase your points, you have to review other books yourself, which takes a lot of time. Once you've written the reviews, Amazon takes time to publish them, so the time Pubby allocates you is much less than the time Amazon uses to publish the review, so you have to constantly request checks. I have about ten books I'd like to publish. In two months, I've only received two reviews and written eight. I also spent €40, plus another €2,000 in hours wasted reading and reviewing other people's books. It's not a good deal.
82 days of stagnation, zero accountability, and misleading results
I am writing this review as a last resort. I truly wanted to support Pubby and am all for small companies, but the level of frustration regarding their lack of accountability and reactivity has forced my hand. If they had stayed true to their advertising, I would have been happy to leave a positive comment. Instead, I’m left with a non-functional service.
The Facts:
Subscription: I paid for one month of service.
The Promise: 5 to 10 readers per week.
The Reality: My book has been stuck "looking for three readers" since December 2, 2025. It is now February 22, 2026.
My Participation: I have held up my end of the platform’s ecosystem by handling my assignments, yet I have received zero movement on my own book in nearly three months.
I have contacted support three times. Each time, the response was a deflection of blame toward "Amazon policy changes." While the industry does change, a company cannot continue to charge for a subscription and advertise weekly results if they are unable to move a queue for nearly 90 days.
Taking no accountability and assuming no responsibility for a paid service is not a sustainable way to treat customers. Until Pubby aligns its advertising with its actual output and stops using external factors as an excuse for internal stagnation, I suggest authors stay away.
Scammers
Scammers, don't use, no service, they just steel money
The trial period was great then I paid…
The trial period was great then I paid for the annual membership over $200 and all reviews stopped and it's been months. Customer Service is a joke with just AI responses. I've been asking for a refund for 2 months now
It works well during the first few…
It works well during the first few weeks. However, the customer service is very poor! they don’t respond, there’s no proper follow-up. On top of that, it’s overpriced and doesn’t deliver what you’re actually looking for
Absolute trash
Absolute trash. They will squeeze out of you 6 reviews for other books, at least one month of subscription (free trial is fake), and THEN (maybe, i havent even got there) you might get reviews.
Scam
Scam. I read 4 books and left reviews on Amazon. After 10 days they said they still couldn't confirm them. The same day I put in for 3 people to write a review. 10 days later no one had started reading it. Avoid!!
Terrible Scam outfit
Terrible Scam outfit. Wish I could give less then one star. Author friend paid for Kindle and Verified purchase yet his books sit there for weeks without being visible. The algorithm they use is very bias towards only a certain genre of book. Also they supposedly have gotten 50 reviews, but 30 don't exist. Zero help from Pubby other then bot responses about the update and how you can report disappeared reviews on the platform, which they have been doing for months to no avail. Stay away from this service unless you enjoy aggravation and throwing money away.
Not working anymore
The service worked well until late 2023, but since then it has gone downhill. The platform is now full of bugs: books get stuck with zero reviews and stay that way indefinitely. Customer support is basically non-existent: you only get automated responses that don’t solve anything.
Robotic support replies
I published my book to be reviewed and collected snaps (their currency) so that I can get the book reviewed, the platform has been looking for readers since November 2025 (it's the end of Jan 2026 now) with no foreseeable development. Tried to reach out to the support to resolve the issue multiple times, I've got as far as getting bot generated copy paste auto replies with empty promises of incorporating a new system for reviews exchange. So far, terrible experience and would appreciate if this can somehow be resolved, otherwise what's the point to pay for the subscription.
This is a full blown scam
This is a full blown scam. They put authors on automatic monthly payments and provide NO service. None whatsoever.
Years of Payments, No Way to Verify or Recover Lost ReviewsI’ve been a paying Pubby user since…
I’ve been a paying Pubby user since December 2020 and paid consistently until June 2025. Over the years, reviews I earned through the platform gradually disappeared from Amazon, but the problem became severe in the past year, with over 50 reviews missing.
Each time I contacted support, I was told to wait—for system updates, spreadsheets, or a relaunch. Recently, Pubby admitted that full review history is not accessible, older reviews cannot be investigated or restored, and there is no workaround at this time. I’m even blocked from scrolling past a certain date in the dashboard, making it impossible to verify or report missing reviews.
Despite acknowledging the issue and the system limitations, Pubby has not offered refunds or account credit for reviews that can no longer be verified or recovered. After years of payments, this feels like paying for a service that cannot deliver or correct losses when things go wrong.
Until Pubby can provide full transparency, reliable tracking, and fair compensation when reviews disappear, I cannot recommend this service.
It had its flaws
It had its flaws, but it worked reasonably well at first. Whether this is due to Amazon changing the rules, which seems likely, or something else, there now appears to be a significant backlog of reviews. I’ve had multiple books sitting for over four months without a single review. If you do decide to try it, a monthly subscription is the safer option. My suspicion is that new subscribers get priority initially, before being pushed to the back of the queue like everyone else.
Pubby services - gone from decent to horrible
My review for Pubby should be broken by two parts:
First year of usage - 4-5 stars. I've gotten a fair number of reviews, the books were picked up within 2-3 days maximum. Yeah, some reviews were clearly just written using previously posted reviews, but overall, it was a decent experience.
Last 3-4 months - absolutely horrible. My books are not getting picked up, just sitting there for 4-5 weeks.
Also, several reviews disappeared from Amazon. I cannot truly say if that was Pubby's fault, but when the total reviews number is suddenly showing 10 reviews less - it is very weird.
Additionally, most of communication goes through the AI bot, and even if eventually a human responds, they provide minimum support.
Unfortunately, I was recently charged a yearly fee (with no notification), so I just hope the service would improve
ALERT ALERT!! EVACUATE!
Pubby was an ok tool to use back in 2023 but has of late...it's no longer good. It's really really bad now. I recently published a new book and ran a free promotion, used pubby to get reviews on it. I was happy at first has a got over 15 reviews the first 2 weeks. Then has the days went on, Amazon started removing them. Only 2 reviews from pubby remained. This platform is honestly horrible now. Please dont waste your money. Throughout the years sometimes it took months just to get even 1 review, just so Amazon can take it down eventually. I think pubby should really update there policy on how reviewers write there reviews. I think most are using AI copy and paste. This will get your account flagged. I just cancelled before that happens. I honestly had like 4,000 snaps in my account when cancelling and IT STILL WASN'T WORTH STAYING WITH PUBBY!! Please runaway from this service. This is not a drill. ALERT ALERT!! EVACUATE!
Good System BUT Poor Management
The cocept is good and the rules are well structured BUT the people running pubby have opted to make easy mony approach. They do not respond to real customer issues nor handle cases fairly. They automate the system in a very bad way ... they recently introduced a new system that freezes your account from taking on new books while they validate the last 4 reviews!!! I have been with them for a long while. In other words, you pay for a monthly subscription but get to use the app for 1 to 2 weeks only... Besides their lack of motivation (again money) to weed out bad reviewers on the site.
