Absolutely amazing customer service…

Absolutely amazing customer service from start to finish. They have been so helpful with all my questions and very responsive throughout. The light itself looks stunning and has such a premium, luxury design. Highly recommend Royale Basic.

Would definitely order again

I honestly can’t relate to many of the negative reviews here. I ordered the Lumora Classic Cordless Lamp and my experience was completely smooth from start to finish.

Shipping to Germany naturally took a few extra days, but the package arrived safely and in perfect condition. The lamp itself is beautiful - timeless, elegant, and perfect for camping trips or cozy evenings on our balcony. It’s very easy to charge via Micro USB and can be turned on and off with a simple touch control.

Shipping was processed quickly and I received a tracking number immediately after ordering.

Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase.

I ordered the Lumora Cordless lamp for my work desk.

I ordered the Lumora Cordless lamp for my work desk and I am very impressed, it is very lightweight gives off the light needed and overall is a good product. It has worked well when needed light in another place as very easy to move and again does the job. Charged very fast and even my wife has used it for reading at night and we will be ordering more. Order process was easy and we also received the product in a timely manner.

Too many platitudes. Avoid. High Risk.

This company responds to issues. However, there is a reason why 88% of their reviews are negative. There is an overemphasis on customer service rather than the quality of products and reliable information. Conflicting shipping information which contravenes FTC. They tried to penalise me for a business negotiation for reverse charges they were making with my bank that did not go in their favor. Their telephone number is answered by a non-English speaking female, which flagged up a security concern. I have unsubscribed but keep getting sales emails.

I have had a reply from the company. I have written evidence that they stated they are penalising me for charges my bank would not reverse. If they cannot deal with charges they should stop trading. Charges are nothing to do with the customer, it is part of a normal business procedure so don't involve customers with them. I emailed and told Royal Basic that I telephoned them - using the number on their website that they advise to call - and the issue that caused when I spoke to someone who did not speak English at all and was very strange. I called them because I was not getting answers to my emails. Suddenly, after that call, I got several email responses. Wanting to have good relations with people, I contacted my bank and continued with orders and re ordering after a discussion with my bank about the status of Royal Basic. I cancelled an order because the item was to small. I tried to make sure that was done before the process of the order changed to shipped. The process screen was not up to date and did not change. I said in my review that Royal Basic responded to issues. I was giving a fair review without moaning. This is not supposed to be a fight. I do not expect a private transaction to be discussed in detail. Therefore stating that they dealt with issues, was sufficient for the reader of a review who was purchasing or thinking about purchasing from them. The reviews are for the potential customer not Royal Basic. It was the professional approach. However, they appear to be unable to secure good customer service when they are responding to reviews. Like their emails, they give the right thing to say - that is called platitudes - but do not deal with thing properly. I have read the reviews. So I will elucidate: In addition to the strange response on their telephone number, Royal Basic also did not like the fact that I continued to be concerned about the authenticity of my order after they advised next day shipping and then changed the delivery details by sending me several emails. There are many reviews stating various delivery issues and often no goods ever arriving. That is a cause for concern. I can take this further if you wish Royal Basic. I think that your emails are over the top - hence my comment about platitudes - at the expense of providing correct information. Everything I have said is correct. My discussions with my bank are recorded if you wish to take this further. You had no concern that I was worried after trusting you with another order, when you were giving different information that your site stated, about shipping times that if an order was made within ten minutes of landing on the site it would be shipped the next work day. I have a screen shot of that. You told me that I was a fraud risk after you took two lots of money from me, which I had freely given, after I made a company check on your business. I still have an email stating your accusation. You gave me no reassurance. Your retort to my review says that you are not interested in the customer. I do not like that. Good business puts the customer first. Then they return to buy again. I advise anybody to take care as I was told by Royal Basic: First, I would be penalised and Second, I was a fraudster. I have email evidence to prove those things. You have told me that I threatened a charge back. I did no such thing. Show me evidence for that. That is a lie. This is your comment from your email reply that you posted on TrustPilot "We then received a notification that you had already contacted your bank to initiate a chargeback. At that point, we proactively issued a full refund and declined to proceed with the order." That is not true. I did not initiate a charge back. That is not the reasons you have given me for cancelling the order. Your reasons were fraud. You told me that it would take a longer to ship because of demand. You did not tell me they were out of stock. Nor did the site reflect that. You first emailed me about charge backs and that my bank had refused a charge back. I called my bank to check this and there is no evidence of any action from me. Also I have a full email correspondence trail between Royal Basic and me. Your work ethic is wanting. If you have any contact from me hereafter it will be through a third party to initiate proceedings for defamation.

Your review leaves out key parts of what actually happened, so here is the full timeline for clarity:

April 18: You placed your first order, then requested cancellation multiple times within 24 hours. We cancelled it immediately as requested.

You then placed a second order, followed by repeated emails within hours regarding address concerns and early chargeback threats. We responded promptly and confirmed everything correctly.

Shortly after, we informed you the item was temporarily out of stock with 2–4 business days handling time, and offered a full refund if you didn’t wish to wait. You agreed to wait.
The very next day, despite that agreement, you began threatening a chargeback if the order did not ship immediately—before the stated handling window had passed.

We then received a notification that you had already contacted your bank to initiate a chargeback. At that point, we proactively issued a full refund and declined to proceed with the order.

At no point were you “penalized.” The order was refunded in full, promptly, and without dispute. When a customer initiates or signals a chargeback before the agreed processing window, it is standard practice for any business to halt fulfillment and refund.

A few other points in your review are simply incorrect:

We do not have non-English-speaking support answering our phones.

We do not send emails after a confirmed unsubscribe—if you are still receiving messages, it is likely due to multiple subscriptions or a delay in propagation, and we are happy to fix that directly.

We stand by clear communication and fair handling. In your case, we honored every request—cancellation, confirmation, and ultimately a full refund—despite repeated escalation within less than 48 hours.

Product (coat rack) was really poor…

Product (coat rack) was really poor quality, I'd have struggled to pay 1/4 of what I did and feel it was worth it.
Found the refund process annoying. Asked for pictures when submitting the request, then an email asking for a video so had to unwrap it, then many back and forth emails offering patrial refund, new replacement etc etc when I was clear in each one I was requesting to return it and had to start quoting the website. Finally sent a label but told I if didn't use it in 7 days would no longer be eligible for a return/refund which I thought was cheeky given I'd spent 2 weeks prior going back and forth via email. Overall the customer service was helpful (polite and responded to emails reasonably quickly) but I have having to negotiate for a return that I'm entitled to. Refund now arrived.

You’re right about one thing: the process took longer than it should have. That’s on us.

To clarify, we request images/videos at the start to verify product issues and improve quality control with suppliers — not to delay returns. The partial refund and replacement options are standard alternatives we offer, but they should never feel like pressure when a customer has clearly chosen a return. In your case, we didn’t handle that cleanly.

Regarding the 7-day return label window — that exists because return labels are time-bound by carriers, but given the back-and-forth beforehand, we agree it came across poorly.

The key point: your return was accepted and fully refunded, as per our policy — but the experience getting there wasn’t smooth, and that’s what we’re addressing internally.

Appreciate you acknowledging the responsiveness of our team — and equally, we take the friction you experienced seriously.

Royal basic stand by their word

On the 4th of April I purchased two car seat covers I wanted to make an enquiry about the product before it was processed customer service had a communication breakdown
And by passed my inquiry and shipped the order to my address in
New Zealand when I received it about 3 weeks latter
It wasn't what I expected and wasn't suitable I requested a full refund and return shipping label back to Canada they try to generate retutn shipping label but it didn't go through
Got an email from the
Royal Basic customer manager saying I could keep the sheepskin covers and they will refund me in full within 2 days got confirmation that my refund it's been processed back onto my credit card
Royal Basic are an
Honorable company I would recommend them to friends and family or anyone that would like to purchase from them
Their company stand by their word

Coffee Machine - Cafelffe Brand

I bought a coffee machine and was sent the wrong one which was inferior and arrived without the milk frother. The frother was sent later. The company gave me a refund because they did not stock the one I ordered. Because of that, I kept the wrong one. Less than eight months later the machine has stopped working. Product is inferior and should not stop working after eight months. Customer service is good. Products absolute rubbish and I would not recommend buying anything from this company. I would also add that I only changed my last review from 1 star to 3 stars because the company asked me to after refunding me. Do not buy from this company.

At the time of your order, an incorrect item was sent due to a supplier issue. We fully acknowledged this and took complete responsibility. To resolve the situation, we issued a full refund of your order, allowed you to keep the coffee machine at no cost, and also sent the milk frother separately as a complimentary item.

This means the product you are referring to was fully refunded and retained free of charge, and was used for approximately nine months thereafter.

While we always strive to provide high-quality products, it’s important to clarify that warranties and replacements apply to purchased items. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer replacements for items that were already refunded in full as part of a goodwill resolution.

We completely respect your right to share your opinion, and we appreciate you acknowledging that our customer service was good. As a small business, we always aim to go above and beyond to resolve issues fairly — and in this case, we believe we did exactly that.

Quality product for price and genuinely open to customisation!

Product quality for the price was honestly exceptional. Real thick, heavy marble/stone was used for my lights. I thought there was an issue with my delivery as I only got part of it delivered. I raised it as an issue and they immediately got back to me saying it got split into 2 deliveries and gave me the tracking number for the second delivery. THEN I asked for a customisation of a different light to be from 240v AC to a 24v AC light. I thought they would say no, but they said yes with a pretty minimal customisation fee.

The USB hairdryer never charged. Totally worthless. While it was heavy and seemed of good quality, I tried for days and used different outlets to charge the hairdryer, and it never charged. Save your money. Mine went into the trash.

I received an apologetic email on 4/21 saying the company regretted my inconvenience and would make it right. UNFORTUNATELY, the email address they provided was bogus and my email returned to me.

I recently got a juicer

I recently got a juicer from this company. I am happy to have this juicer as It's super cool by It's looks and easy to use, even it doesn’t take that much space in kitchen. Got this delivery within 2 weeks as I think for living in Fin. Overall It's a positive experience.

I was sent the wrong teapot and when the folks at Royal Basic found out, they sent me the correct one - - at no charge!!!
And very quickly. I’ve never had or heard of better customer service. I felt truly taken care of.
