Very disappointing experience
My daughter and I both purchased clothing from Soma Intimates around Christmas and have been loyal customers who spend a significant amount in this store. Unfortunately, due to a serious illness and a death in our family, we were unable to return within their 60-day window to exchange items for the correct size.
When we finally returned, we weren’t asking for a refund—just a simple exchange for a better fit. Despite explaining the circumstances, the store offered absolutely no flexibility or support. No exchange, no store credit—nothing.
Given our history as repeat customers, this lack of compassion and basic customer service was incredibly disappointing. Life happens, and a company that values its customers should be willing to work with them, especially in situations like this.
Sadly, this experience has completely changed my view of Soma. I will not be returning.
Horrible shipping condition of my purchase!!!
I received my box this morning that was shipped with free shipping through USPS. My box was severely ripped and gapping open on two of the four sides and the top tape was so minimal on the box to where it was gapping open and not sealing the box from the top at all. Based on these issues there were 3 large areas open and it was surprising that the items inside were still there. They were filthy and covered with black shipping dust that you normally see on the outside of boxes.
I am thoroughly disgusted. This type of handling of the merchandise I ordered from Soma is totally unacceptable. I expected much higher standards coming from this store. Not sure I will ever be ordering again and very lucky that none of my items fell out of the box with the size of the holes that were on my box. I sent photos to document this delivery to an email provided through their customer chat and would love to include the photos on here but this site is not allowing me to post photos. 🫤

They sent the wrong color twice and each time I had to pay $7 to return the wrong item! When I called customer service, I was told "tough!" Will NEVER shop here again. I do not recommend this store/online.

I ordered bras for my wife last September and they say they delivered it. I received nothing. I reached out to them and they said they would redeliver. Once again nothing even though they said it was delivered. Some weird delivery service. I reached out once again and they promised to reimburse me. It's been over 6 months now and every email I get from them is a general response. To this day I'm out of the items along with the money.

Soma. I bought 2 Soma pajama pants, the material is cheap and there wasn’t
a tie for the waist. I’m a size small and since the waist tie is missing the pants don’t fit. Bye Bye Soma!!!
Poor quality material!
I reached out to the store and then to customer service after buying a set of Soma 24/7 modal athleisure wear. I have had it 1 month, worn it and washed it 3 times. The fabric is pilling and of poor quality. For the price it should be much better. Soma wants to offer me $25.00 when I paid over $100.00, on sale. They should do better, by using better quality and standing behind what they sell.

If an item is IN STOCK, why does it take 14 BUSINESS days to receive it?
I have become increasingly disappointed in SOMA online. They say an order can take 10-14 business days to arrive. However, if I am told the item is IN STOCK, why does it take 14 BUSINESS days to receive it? I ordered something that I was told was 'in stock', so I figured I'd get within a week. (Order #2112054688) It's been almost two weeks, and it hasn't even left the warehouse to go to the shipper! I really wanted this item sooner, so I hope SOMA will speed this up. Was the item really 'in stock', or do they just say that to get women to order? IF SO, FALSE ADVERTISING! Also, so many items I like are not available in the stores, so I'm stuck ordering online and have to face these problems
I placed two orders 12 hours apart and only received one
I placed two orders 12 hours apart and received emails for each order stating the same delivery date. Everything was great until it wasn’t! One order arrived two days late but the other order is no where to be found. I’m leaving town for two months in a couple days. When I called customer service for help I received a “canned” response that it can take up to two weeks to receive my order. That’s all the help that was offered. I never would have placed ann order had I known that. I am furious and Soma/Chicos have lost a decades old customer over this. Customer Service could care less about customer satisfaction or that my order has not arrived and probably got lost in the mail, what a waste of money!

They are rude as can be
They are rude as can be. I have had two orders lost. They take the money as soon as you place the order and then when it is lost you have to wait 5 days for a credit. I am done with this company,
Ignorant clerk
Went to local Soma (5304 Garden City, Cranston, RI) with a gift receipt for an item I had received as a Christmas gift (too small). Placed both on the counter and clerk proceeded to work on the computer. After a couple of minutes she says ok the item has been credited to the Discover card. I said wait a minute I don't have a Discover card. She said whoever bought it for you now has the credit. I said you didn't ask me what I wanted. She answered back that I didn't tell her. I said it was a GIFT receipt. It's three days after Christmas. Why did you think you anything but an exchange or merchandise credit? She then told me to call the person who gave me the gift and authorize another purchase. I said NO WAY I'm going to embarrass myself. Long and short of it I got no gift and I did get embarrassed by emailing the person who gave it to me to let them know they got credited and why. Called customer service today and basically they did not care. Won't be going in that place again.
True kindness
My mother, who is 90, recently came to visit me and wanted to go somewhere she could get fitted for a bra, so that it would actually fit her. Patricia, from the store in Lakeside Village in Lakeland, Florida, was amazing. She made a situation, which could be a little awkward for a very modest 90 year old woman, one of complete ease. Patricia went above and beyond helping my mom and showing true care and concern for her.

I have never had any issues with any other bra brand before but with the soma bras the wire comes out of the bra less then a year. I called the store to see if there was anything they could do but it was already past the 60 days. I am sorry as much as these bras cost it should at least be a year warranty. Going forward, I will no longer me buying my bras from soma.
I've had three negative experiences…
I've had three negative experiences with the same associate at the Woodbridge, VA location, and it's clearly a pattern. The first time I brushed it off. The second was the day after Thanksgiving when I brought my niece in for a bra fitting--she left saying it was the most unhelpful service she'd ever experienced and refused to buy anything. My most recent visit was no different: unfriendly, unhelpful, and unwelcoming. I was ignored until I asked for help, and even then, this associate was less than happy to assist me. This location used to have the most professional, helpful, and friendly associates. What happened???
I've also read other reviews describing similar issues at this location and with this associate. With the amount of money I've spent here, I'm now questioning whether I'll return and will likely shop elsewhere if nothing changes.
Pattern of poor customer service
Pattern of poor customer service. Called the Naples Store trying to place an order and was hung up on three times. Fourth time I received a recording. I then called the 866 number and had a poor experience. I then called the Coconut store and during placing an order was put on a long hold and then my call was dropped.
AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!
AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!! I ordered a gift to be delivered to Dublin Ireland after seeing they offer international shipping. Was charged the purchase price plus $30 in shipping and additional European taxes which I paid because I thought the pajamas would be better quality than what I could get though Amazon or somewhere else. After getting a shipping confirmation to the address in Ireland, I logged in to track my package a week or so later and found it was delivered somewhere in Queens, NY. Customer service has been terrible. Three calls, all definitely people working out of their basements, calls dropped - and in the end they are refusing to refund anything but the merchandise price of $108. I am disputing the rest through my credit card. Stay away!!!!!!
Soma online does not price adjust as promised
I asked for a price adjustment because I bought items that went on sales a few days prior. The first agent I spoke with stopped responding to me completely so I hung up and tried again. The next agent said I would get close to $20 back. But 10 days later and nothing has come back to me. I reached out again and they said that only one of my items is priced less today, so I can only get $5 back. Terrible, untrustworthy scammy business.
*Update: after emailing with three agents and insisting on the price adjustment amount I was promised of $15 plus tax (vs. only $5 or a $10 voucher for my next purchase), the third agent sent me an email with a refund notice. Now I wait again. Fingers crossed. In the future, I will place a whole new order and return the entire first one to avoid this headache.

Every year I shop on black friday. I visited the store on fm 1960 and champions in houston, texas. The customer service I received was amazing. I have found in the last few years customer service has been thrown out the window. The individuals name is Melissa.
