Incredibly inefficient order processing and shipping
My wife enjoys some items however this company is incredibly inefficient. They purged the previous orders on my account. CS rep insisted the items must have been purchased at a store. No store within 100 miles of me. Order processing and shipping takes an incredibly long time. Over 2 weeks is slooooow anytime of year but in December is really bad. Purchased other items online from similar companies on the same day and will have those items in 5 days or less. I doubt Soma will be around much longer with this level of service. Maybe place Christmas orders at Halloween ?
Soma is not what it used to be!
I have purchased panties from Soma for years. They were of quality material and most have lasted for 12 years. I just kept adding to my collection. This last time was such a disappointment. The lace came apart from the waistband because there was not enough material holding it. The panties themselves were a thin,less than quality material. Customer service refused to take responsibility and compensate me because I had missed the thirty day return policy.
First of all, it is gross to think a company would want you to return worn panties. I sent a photo to show exactly why the lace came off. Customer service couldn’t care less so I’m warning others not to buy panties with lace around the waist. I actually am done with Soma. They used to have quality products…no more.

Soma took a lot longer than other vendors to ship my order. Order didn't work out, immediately returned to Soma (via mail). Took about a week and half before Soma acknowledged my return and then their correspondence indicates that it can take 2-3 weeks for a refund. That is ridiculously slow and I'll never buy from this company again.
They have gone downhill
They have gone downhill. I’m not receiving orders. Can’t cancel the order they make you wait over 16 days. You lose the coupons or rewards that were used on the order even though they’re the ones that failed fulfilling order. Quality has changed immensely over the years. I’ve been a customer since the early ‘90’s. It’s sad to see what used to be a decent company go downhill so badly along with their sister company Chicos.
What Happened!!
I first got a pair of Soma cool nights pajamas on clearance in 2017. I immediately decided this company was amazing and worth full price. I had some medical issues and gained a good deal of weight and haven't fit into their clothing since 2022. I have lost a bunch of weight and decided to treat myself with a pair of pajamas, having always had smooth experiences returning things that didn't fit.
I realized after I placed the order that the pajamas weren't cool nights. They wouldn't cancel my order despite it not shipping yet. They said I'd have to just return them after I received them. It was another ten days before they even sent it. When I got the package, there was no order slip in with the item. They told me I had to go to the UPS store to print a label. Oook. I sent that off a week ago, I just got an email saying they received it and I could expect my refund in two to three weeks. On top of that, I had to eat the $8 shipping. Since when is this how they handle business! I really don't trust their products to have the same quality if their business practices have gone so downhill. I just paid $8 to feel like an idiot for thinking a company might have integrity.
What a shame. I've been looking forward to new pajamas for literally years. I will miss this company.

I have a + - review. I bought 3 bras on sale online. I would suggest buying in store for fit. I bought 3 bras of different styles. When I wore two of the three I immediately had a skin reaction on my back. I am not a sensitive person. When this happened with the second bra, I washed both bras thinking it might be some kind of sizing. Still reacted. Contacted the company and was told I could not return unless the tags were still on and they had not been washed. Went to the Fig Garden store with the unworn tags on bra and got a prompt refund.
Snarky customer service
Soma showed availability but shipped 1 of 2 ordered. When I contacted cust. svc. about the 2nd bra, Diego said he couldn't look up my order by name & address "we can't guess your order number" not once but twice! HOW RUDE! The bra doesn't fit well- hard to get a perfect bra on-line.

Once upon a time this was a high quality company that stood behind their products, not anymore. I’ve had a few minor issues with quality on the last bra I bought but wrote it off as a one time thing. I decided to give them another try and bought cool night pajamas set less than two weeks ago online. After wearing the pajamas once the waist band started unraveling. I don’t mean one small string, it was completely falling apart. I contacted customer service and they said they’d give me $15 towards a future purchase. I explained that’s not acceptable because these pajamas are falling apart. They then said it was my washing machine that damaged the pants. I said no it’s just poorly made. I even said they can just send me new pants and not a whole new set. They refused to replace the pants. My family and I are done with this company because their quality, values and standards have dropped.

Layla provided exceptional customer service
Layla was extra helpful on my first and return visits. I wanted a lightweight bra that fit and didn't have a wide band. She suggested I try the Lightly Lined wireless bra. I initially resisted because I don't like underwire but after trying on several styles, I chose the bra she'd suggested. I returned to the store to buy more, but the store did not have my preferred color and style, so she ordered one for me and helped me with other purchases.
Defective product and refusal to refund
Within an hour of wearing my new panties, they started shredding and falling apart.
Contacted them through the chat who insisted that they don't do refunds after something has been worn or washed. When I asked to speak to someone else who could help, the chat (bot? human? who knows anymore) actually yelled at me in all caps that no one would help me.
I decided to try calling instead. The representative told me the same thing: no refunds or returns on purchases that have been worn or washed.
1) Who wears their new underwear without washing first? They know this and made themselves a loophole to get out of refunding.
2) Sometimes the faults in the item don't show up UNTIL you've worn it. Another loophole they've created.
Terrible business practices from this company overall. Now I'm out 30 bucks for a pair of underwear that is disintegrating.
Order the simmpel Red light and it never…
Ordered the simmpel red light and it never came, I request a refund after a month and a half wait. Spent close to 400.00, was just told that I will have to wait 6 months to receive my refund after, for a product I never received. Horrible dishonest customer service. I will file a claim. Do not Order anything from them.
Scam where they don't refund you the full amount
The order/delivery part of the process went fine. The refunds were a disaster to the point where I think they are trying to scam people. It took them literally 2 months to refund me, then when they finally did it was for an incorrect amount ($30 short). I tried customer service 3x (phone and chat) and just got stonewalled "You have received your refund." With no acknowledgement that it wasn't for the full amount. I am now pursuing a claim through my credit card. DO NOT ORDER if you want all your money back. So discouraging that a legit-looking company is doing this scam.
Allergic Reaction
Back in February of this year, I bought a bra to replace one I purchased several years ago. I loved the way it fit and felt, so it was only natural that I buy the same one from them again. However, this time it was different. When I first started wearing the bra, I started to itch. At first I didn't think anything of it since I'm going through perimenopause. But as the itching got worse, I knew something was wrong. When I wore my other used bras, the itching continued but it wasn't as intense. Which led me to believe I was having an allergic reaction. Once the itching subsided, I tried the new one from Soma again. But this time the itching got worse. It was so bad that I bled from the scratching. I couldn't wear my other bras and it was bad to even wear shirts. After I stopped wearing the bra from Soma completely, the itching stopped. But this time, it took longer for me to recover. I have been wearing my old bras since then and have not had any kind of reaction at all. I said all of this to say that I firmly believe the material has changed over the years. Of course it is hard to prove since it claims to have the same amount of nylon and spandex as it has on my old one. However, I am pretty sure there are different types of nylon and it's possible they went with the one that was the cheapest. The quality of it is not what it used to be. And not just with this bra, but with other items I have bought from here. If it were, then I would not have had this happen. I did reach out to customer service, but no one has gotten back to me. Hopefully this reaction doesn't happen to anyone else.

I have been a customer for over 15 years and
I have lived in many places in the USA and have shoped at a lot of Soma Intamate stores. They are all friendly except this store. Not only does this store have so many different employes all the time the manager Christine is rude!
When I did two different returns for different styles of bras and diffferent sizes I was asked the question... (Why do you keep buying Soma bras if they don't work for you and you return them.) My answer was because you told me to buy them on line and try them because you don't carry all the sizes. Also I had to explain that they weren't comfortable for my boobs!
Some bras just don't work. There is no reason to question me about why I keep buying and trying Soma bras. Also don't tell me that you haven't had a lot of complaints about your bras. They don't always work for everyone. I am not the only one that they don't work for. Anyhow, horrible customer service with an attitude everytime I go in there. WHY would you ask this question and try to be a jerk or try to embarras the customer.
There is no reason for the Manager Christine to ask this question at all. End of story you told me to buy them and try them. Also when a customer has a receipt to return them you should just return them with a smile on your face. I know good customer service and this store is horrible! I have told my family and friends to not shop here. They need to do something about thier management. They lack good customer service at the FlatIrons Mall in Broomfield, CO. So sad and dissapointing. Save yourself some time and shop elsewhere!

Shameful Business Practices
I recently purchased two pajama sets as a Mother’s Day gift for my mom. One set arrived promptly and without issue. The second set was scheduled for delivery on 25June2025. While the pajama top was delivered as expected, I received an email on 25Jun2025 (same day the pajama top was delivered) stating that the matching bottoms had been cancelled from my order and were out of stock.
I was disappointed to learn of this cancellation at the same time the top was delivered, without prior notice or explanation. It’s concerning that customers are not notified of such changes to their order in a timely manner.
I reached out to customer service via chat and was informed that the top could be returned by mail, but would incur a $7.00 return fee. Given the circumstances, this does not seem fair or appropriate.
No Customer Service All Calls are Outsourced to Other Countries
I ordered a bathing suit and received 2 bottoms. Called to let them know and they wouldn't honor the sale price or my reward dollars. Waiting for a supervisor to call which I was told 48 hours. Still waiting. I received an email if I still wanted someone to call me. Poor poor poor customer service. I love the products but willing to shop elsewhere.
