I had a great experience thanks to Iram from the rental team. They were professional, friendly, and very helpful throughout the entire process. They answered all of my questions about the car clearly and patiently, kept me informed every step of the way, and made everything simple and stress-free. Their excellent customer service and attention to detail really stood out. I truly appreciate all their support and would highly recommend Iram and the rental team to anyone looking for a smooth and hassle-free experience.

I initially made a telephone enquiry and Jamie was so helpful. This continued throughout with Jamie providing a high level of service and explaining everything. All the team members I met were pleasant, friendly and professional. I would most definitely recommend and I will be using Switch again.

This company's poor administration led to me being incorrectly identified to the police as the driver of a hire car several weeks after I had returned it. The dated notice from the police was sent to me by Switch/Thrifty, along with their own invoice charging me a fee for processing my details to give to the police. Ironically, the invoice Switch/Thrifty sent me had the correct date of my rental on it, which obviously did not align with the date on the notice of prosecution from the police.

I will never rent from this company again. I'd rather walk.

Hired a brand new Ford Transit Custom E van to help my Son move some of his personal effects now that he has finished Uni. Van was immaculate, and the whole process with Switch at Taunton was top class. Thanks Jamie / Hannah for looking after me. 5-stars without hesitation.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had with a car rental company.
It seems that they simply does not realise what business they are in. Renting out a car is a service provided to people in need of transportation. In this particular case at an airport. It is not uncommon that flights are delayed so this is a given for a car rental company and often I do see that the company give customers the opportunity to include s flight number so that their staff know when to expect the costumer to pick up the car and a telephone number to contact the customer.
In this case my Ryan Air flight from Copenhagen to Bristol had a 55 minute delay so I checked opening hours of the Switch branch at the Bristol Airport that Friday afternoon. Until 17:30, so no worries as I would be at their desk at 17:00. Arriving at the desk their was a note that the had another office outside so I went there but just to find out that there was no Switch people around either. There was a note on the door though confirming that opening hours was intimate 17:30.
So I asked around but none of the colleagues from the other rental companies at the airport had seen any Switch people that afternoon. I tried the branch telephone number that was on my rental voucher but no one replied. Then I tried the telephone number on the note in the window only to find out that the person picking up was a service provider who only delt with military personnel (the note did not say anything about the military).
The lady taking care of military personnel did try to help me but no one at Switch picked up.
At that time my mother whom I was visiting i Gloucester called to hear if everything was altand to let me know that dinner was almost ready so my only option was to rent another car with one of the rental companies which went smoothly but of course cost me a fortune because it was not pre-booked.
The next day, Saturday, I called numerous times on the telephone number stated on my rental confirmation to get a hold on the Switch but no one answered. I was aware that the branch would only be open from 08:30 to 12:30 on a Saturday so I returned my one day rental and showed up at the Switch counter at 11:00 - Same result as the day before.
Finally I called any number related to Switch that Google could find and got hold on a kind lady at the Switch bookkeeping. She did try to help me but none of her colleagues answered their telephones so eventually she gave up and advised me to show up Monday morning at the branch with no guarantee that there would be someone there
I gave up an went back to the colleagues from the other company who unfortunately was out of cars and ended up at a third one who also kindly helped med out.
I have been travelling almover the world and had rental cars with holes and full of graffiti but I did not expect that kind of experience I. A civilised country like England. It might seem as a good deal that Switch is offering but they do not seem to care about their customers and if you should be able to get a car you might pray to your God that you do not need to contact them.
I strongly recommend you to choose another company.

I rented a van from the Taunton branch, the vehicle was excellently prepared and both Hannah and Jamie went the extra miles to make journey as smooth and extra easy. Jamie stayed behind after closing to help me get checked back in after a 3 hour delay due to M5 closer. Superb service I will definitely use them again.

I needed a car while mine was in for repair. It was delivered the next day, on time. The car was clean and with a good spec (a Hyundai Kona). Enjoyed driving it for a couple of days until mine was returned. Collection of the car was again on time and by two very friendly staff members. Thank you Ian and Scott!

Lovely, really helpful people from Pre-rent to post rental. Nothing too much trouble, van was excellent, modern, automatic, lots of tech, great air con, everthing worked. I rarely leave reviews, but the team at Switchcar (Slough) genuinely deserve recognition for the exceptional service they have provided throughout my experience.

From the very beginning, Zain, Colin, and the 2 branch managers present at my arrival have been nothing short of professional, accommodating, understanding, and incredibly helpful. Following a stressful situation with my vehicle, they made what could have been a complicated process feel completely seamless. Every interaction was handled with patience, efficiency, and genuine care.

What stood out most was their willingness to go above and beyond to help. They took the time to listen, kept me informed throughout the process, and made sure everything was dealt with as smoothly as possible. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and I was consistently treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism.

In a time where outstanding customer service can be difficult to find, Switchcar truly set themselves apart. The level of communication, attention to detail, and customer care I received was exceptional and far exceeded my expectations.
