I rarely leave reviews, but the team at Switchcar (Slough) genuinely deserve recognition for the exceptional service they have provided throughout my experience.
From the very beginning, Zain, Colin, and the 2 branch managers present at my arrival have been nothing short of professional, accommodating, understanding, and incredibly helpful. Following a stressful situation with my vehicle, they made what could have been a complicated process feel completely seamless. Every interaction was handled with patience, efficiency, and genuine care.
What stood out most was their willingness to go above and beyond to help. They took the time to listen, kept me informed throughout the process, and made sure everything was dealt with as smoothly as possible. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and I was consistently treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism.

My car insurance had arranged a hire car that didnt arrive
My car insurance had arranged a replacement car from switch car hire Liverpool while mine was being repaired, on Fri 19yh June I recieved a text saying my hire car would arrive by 13.29 to 14.29 on 23rd of June, this time came and went with no sight of car, I rang the company at 15.00 asking where was my car, I was told they had problems with supply and they would chase it up. Even though I recieved a txt on the Fri staiting time my hire cat would arrive I had no further calls or txt staiting a car was NOT arriving on day and time specified. I am a motorbility customet and needed thr car for hospital appointment later in day and a follow up appointmrnt early 24th. these i now have to cancel, why state a day , time a rental car would arrive if none coming, customer service terrable.

Came down to Newport first thing on Saturday morning to see if I could extend my Rental (as the MOT on my car didn’t quite go to plan…) Alex was super helpful and got it sorted for me - phew I can enjoy the weekend and drive up to Reading to spend Sunday with my son on Father’s Day. I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Switch Car Rental.
I have been charged a £42 administration fee relating to an alleged parking contravention that appears to be completely unjustified. The parking notice itself shows that the vehicle entered Lidl at 13:18 and exited at 14:28, a total stay of just 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Rather than investigating the circumstances or assisting their customer, Switch Car Rental simply passed on the charge and took a £42 administration fee. As a customer, I would expect a rental company to carry out some basic checks before imposing charges, particularly when there are clear grounds to dispute the allegation.
I am also a disabled driver. My Blue Badge was clearly displayed in the windscreen, and I was parked in a designated disabled bay throughout my visit. Despite this, no consideration appears to have been given to the circumstances before charging me.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I am now having to spend my own time challenging a parking charge that I believe has been issued in error, while Switch Car Rental has already taken £42 from me regardless of the outcome.
Customer service should involve supporting customers when issues arise, not automatically passing on charges and collecting administration fees without question. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Switch Car Rental and will be seeking reimbursement of the £42 fee.
Very disappointing service.
