Very Disatisfied And Disappointed With First Time Purchase Which Resulted With Nothing
When I first discovered this company I was excited about becoming a customer based on the products and prices. For my first order I purchased a iHome bluetooth speaker. It arrived right away and when I got it failed to work because it wouldn't take a charge. I followed procedure and opened a ticket regarding my issue. I received a reply apologizing and was asked if I would accept a replacement. I confirmed that I would and the replacement was shipped out. It came right away and the new speaker worked fine..... for 9 days! Then for no apparent reason the sound stopped working. I contacted the company again explaining the situation and also offering to send back both speakers (obviously at my expense). Instead of further resolving this second issue with a non-defective replacement product, I was sent an email stating that it was no longer in stock, which differs from the fact that it is actually on the company's website listed for sale, showing that there are really still more apparently available, 27 of them to be precise. I was also told that I would be refunded in full and that the two speakers that I have are mine to keep. An apology was given along with a statement that they hope to do future business with me. I definitely wont be keeping the two speakers. They are defective, and garbage as far as I'm concerned. I have no use for them, and it's insulting to even consider that I'd possibly still be interested in wanting or keeping them. Honestly, right now I don't know if I will even attempt another purchase from this company. Time will tell, but as of now, absolutely not. This has all been a big let down to me because at the end of the day I'm right where I began, wanting a bluetooth speaker that I can enjoy, which I don't yet have after almost a full month's time. My first encounter with this company has resulted with a negative outcome rather than a positive one, which unfortunately leaves me very disappointed!

By far one of the worst experiences I've ever had from a company. After I placed my order and the money was taken out of my account I called 4 days later asking if my order has shipped. They couldn't find my order then they "found my order" and said I should recieve a shipping confirmation most likely in my spam folder (never did) and they gave me a USPS tracking number that was not valid (I assumed they just added a number so brushed it off). After waiting 2 weeks for my son's tablet, which was his Christmas present, I finally called again and was told they shipped it to the wrong address in Tx (I live in NC) and they were unable to replace it.. Never using this company again..

A friendly honest business with great customer service and prices!
I recently called to order 2 open box laptops. Cory was gracious enough to physically check exactly what they had in stock and the condition of the available options. He took my order and gave me a fantastic price. The computers arrived promptly. While one worked perfectly, the second laptop started up well, but had a sound card hardware problem that became apparent only by loading and running some software. I called Cory (who treats you like a old friend instead of a "customer issue"), and he said he would send me a prepaid return label along with a replacement laptop, and he asked me to return defective unit AFTER I got the new one! He immediately sent me the new laptop by priority delivery. Cory and The Open Box did everything and more that a customer could ask for! Thanks.

Revising My Previous Review
Within minutes of posting my previous negative review, I received an e-mail from Cory who is the Customer Service Manager. He apologized profusely and promised to send my refund check the next day. I received it 3 days later. I am very happy that this issue was resolved. Although I am giving only 4 stars because of the issue I had, I would order from this company again. Cory is one of the few people in the country who knows the definition of great customer service.

I found The Open Box during a google search for a 3rd generation Kindle Fire HDX. I called to be sure of the return policy and other details as this was the first time I was buying "used" online no less. I was a bit nervous of getting "scammed". My first impression of this company was wonderful, expecting an automated line, I was pleasantly surprised with an actual human being. Not only did this person help answer my questions, he personally handled the transaction from beginning to end. His name is Cory and what a wonderful experience I've had. I received the Kindle Fire and unfortunately there was a defect one could only observe after the device had been on for an hour or so. I called Cory...not a problem. There was a delay on the refund of the purchase, at this point I was VERY NERVOUS I had gotten had. But no, Cory looked up my account and did see the refund had not gone through and immediately re-posted the refund. I can't sing enough praises about this outfit. True Integrity. I will definitely be a future customer and will recommend them to all my friends!

I would like to leave a quick review of Open Box. One word Excellent!! I recently purchased an IPod from Open Box and it was at my door super fast. I dealt with employee Corey and his customer service was superior. I will definitely purchase items in the future and encourage anyone thinking about buying from Open Box to do so!

Honorable Business
I bought a computer from The Open Box and when it arrived it was a used mess. It was not refurbished, it was just well used. I contacted the representative immediately and told him the computer was not what I expected. He agreed to refund my money if I would ship it back. It cost me about $40 to ship it back (shipping and insurance.) But he did refund my money and for that I think they did a good job. I would give the biz more stars if I was informed before the purchase that this was not in any way a refurbished computer.

The dash cam I ordered didn't work, but they let me return it for another one and it took less time than I thought it would. The lady on the phone was very apologetic and took care of me.

I purchased a pair of blue tooth speakers as a wedding gift, and The Open Box did not disappoint both in service and price. Both speakers were in fantastic condition, and there customer representative was polite and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this company.
Online Customer Service Okay But Some Issues
Purchased a DVD player that needed to be returned for refund. To do that, you need to open a ticket through what appears to be a third party web service to request a refund. I don't particulary care for that. During this process, there were some apparent computer hitches on the web side and I kept getting emails stating that someone would respond to my ticket, which had already occurred. Anyways, I called the company and spoke with a very nice lady who was able to issue a refund on the spot. I like the concept of the open box (and of course the prices) and would probably do business again with this web site.
