This is a scam company with a website posing as the dvla website. They trick you into providing card details believing you are paying for road tax. The banks are useless at challenging this behaviour as they will almost certainly deal with it as a disputed payment; it isn’t its a criminal case of fraud from a company who are clearly set up to obtain card details fraudulently for their own gain.

I got scammed too. Taking money out of my account a few times every month. Completely dodgy. Now getting my bank to stop it and try to get back all the money they have scammed me out of. Avoid at all costs

Thought i was paying for my road tax monthly.
First payment £17.95 then £7.99 each month.
Recieved a fine from DVLA for £258 for not having any road tax.
Complete scam.
Bank have now blocked any further payments and trying to get my £258 and monthly payments back from them.
How do these companies get away with this.
So glad to see im not the only person who fell for it.

100% scam. Looks like the DVLA website to pay your vehicle road tax that signs you up for £7.99 per month recurring payments.

Total scam DVLA site - call your bank and change your card, as they now have the details

This site comes up when you go to buy road tax it actually provides a report for your car and then charges you £7.99 a month

Absolute scam. Thought I had taxed my vehicle but luckily was alerted that car wasn't taxed when I tried to change number plates. Now I see that £17.95 was taken without my knowledge and I'm talking to my bank to try to get that back as well as cancelling the direct debit

I accidently had the misfortune to find myself in the clutches of this company while trying to pay my road tax this company jumped in and before i knew jack i had paid £17.85 thinking that was my road tax .only to find the date came and went and i find myself untaxed and can not find contact details for ths vehicle debit company .

Hi why are these known scammers not stopped at bank level do not use under any circumstances, bank security is useless

This company is a scam. It took 17.85 from me while I was paying for car tax on the dvla site . I went to their website to contact them. You can't contact them. There is a box to cancel payments....so clearly this hapoens a lot. I have contacted my bank to cancel any future payments...you should do this too. Total scam.

I got scammed by this company, I am paying for them 4 months ago, I got penalty 663£ from dvla, I am stressed out from them,I am trying to do appeal i hope they can understand my issue

Just done me for £7.99 car tax scam be careful

a charge by Vehicledebit.co.uk sudenly appeared on my visa statements. I hadn't tried to re tax my car or any other activity, just appeared. total scam

Just like other readers got scammed by this company
I thought I was paying my vehicle tax and then I received notification today wasn’t paid I realised and checked my bank account
There was an initial payment of £17.49 then Monthly £7.99
Please let the DVLA know and please stop others from this scam

They used to be called cardebit last year I managed to get my bank to stop the payments and got refunded but they’ve now changed the name to vehicledebit so have started taking £7.99 again been on to the bank again they will stop it.
They claimed to be a vehicle tax site but don’t exist

Sadly we were scammed by this website which pretends to be the official road tax renewal. They took a one off payment for a service they did not provide AND they have taken a subsequent monthly amount which I did not agree to.

Got scammed by these, trying take monthly subscription bank stopped it fortunately as fraudulent activity. Has anyone used the link on their page to unsubscribe from them? All their info is on companies house under the limited company operating name. Shame on you Mrs Grant.
