Terrible Caremark Services
Got switch from Express Script to CVS Caremark by work company as of 1/1/25. I rarely taken medication and just now my prescription history suddenly seems endless of heavy pain killers as well as numerous strong medication for various medical condition listed: it completely mixed with another person with my same first name, same age, but different middle initial. Last name not shown so I couldn't tell if we have the same last name. Upon writing to customer care, I got a response that the representative did file an incident report about it but I've been checking my file, still nothing change in there, such serious confidentiality violation regardless of if they did processed these medication under my coverage! No peace of mind. Lawsuit potential!
Absolute disaster of a company
Absolute disaster of a company. They deserve to go bankrupt.
Getting them to fill prescriptions take 2 or 3 calls because of as many mistakes. Instead of taking accountability for their shortcomings, they focus on telling them the reasons they can't do their jobs. I have never grabbed an electric fence, but I have to believe it would be more pleasant than dealing with these people.
Absolutely, the worst company I have ever experienced in the healthcare field.
Bottom line is, I never got delivery of my prescription and couldn't even get them to provide a replacement to me. It is a critical prescription, and I don't know what to do.
Can you give less than 1 star
Can you give less than 1 star. Makes sense why Verizon would switch from express scripts to Caremark to save a buck. Caremark so far has been the worst and express scripts was easy!! You get what you pay for and Caremark suck!
This company is the worst!
This company is the worst!! They don't know which way is up. The answer to questions that I have depends on the representative who answers the call. And this isn't a one time issue - this has happened multiple times. Having wrong ship to address in the system, then shipping to an incorrect address, asking for signature when they've shipped to us before and never needed a signature, on hold for an hour just to get a simple answer to a question. It has taken me multiple phone calls to just get a simple answer on a prescription. And multiple months of calls to fix each problem.
1-3 times Caremark screws up... is fine, it happens.
8+ times Caremark screws up... is unprofessional and unacceptable!!
Get your act together Caremark!!!
Very poor customer service
Received a medication that I had put on hold, did not request, and did not need as my daughter is no longer taking it. Called CVS Caremark and they refused to credit the price. I cancelled all medications with them. I refuse to do business with such an unprofessional company.
Dangerous
Totally inefficient. Waste of time. DANGEROUS. Long holds. Conflicting information from emails vs website vs rep. Reps clearly not trained or at all informed, much less well informed. The person tried but it’s clear the systems are totally discombobulated and lack any connectivity. First levels reps also do not see to have any access to information beyond the useless, barely even superficial information on the website. Gave me “an answer” but it was only 1/4 of the information without any reference that there were more options. Nope, pay cash if not on formulary. I had to figure out prior auth & ask. Oh, yeah - there’s that. Unless the reps are taught to subjugate that information? Would not be a surprise based on these experiences. Today I called again. Was left on hold for over 20 minutes. Called in on another line after 15 minutes & literally had 2 different reps giving me totally different answers at the same time. One said “I talked to a senior rep & it will be processed in 2 days.” The other said, “even though you got an email saying prior auth was approved, the mail order dept still needs something.” Naturally, I asked what? “I don’t know. I can’t see that information.” What a disaster. Someone should be ashamed. A lot of people probably. This kind of morass takes lots of idiots to foment. This is a miserable excuse for a “benefits” company. Much less, one involved with helping us manage our well being. Shameful.
When CVS and Aetna "got married".
When CVS and Aetna "got married", their combined company completely became dysfunctional. For the last hour, my UPMC (Medicare) concierge tried to get a problem rectified. After calling CVS/Specialty, they told us that they had nothing to do with my problem. "Get in touch with Caremark.com", is what we were told to do. So we did. Attempt #1 - after being on hold for 15 minutes, the "representative" cold-transferred us to Aetna. Not what we wanted since I am not an Aetna member. Attempt #2 - the "representative" hung up on us after we asked for a supervisor. Attempt #3 - we got to someone who actually had a supervisor available, but we got disconnected upon her transfer attempt.
The company and people that work there, are at best amateurs. Stop doing business with Aetna and CVS if you value your sanity.
"Caremark" is the most ironic name ever
CVS Specialty in particular is atrocious. Every month... EVERY month... there is another billing issue and they do not send the Enbrel injections. I am at max out of pocket for the year, have paid all the bills (over $2,200 / month co-pay), and they ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have an issue. I spend 2 to 3 hours a month at least on the phone with them. I will get my weekly injections for 4 weeks, then miss 1 or 2 because of their incompetence. It has been this way for at least the 3 years I've been forced to use them. The reps on the phone are usually pleasant, but they never are able to directly handle the issue. Their entire fulfillment process is a joke.
Workers don't have any English
Workers don't have any English and do almost nothing and staying only few minutes.
Excellent Experience for 2 Years
I have used Caremark CVS mail order pharmacy for the past 2 yr. The reviews on this site DO NOT MATCH my experience. CVS Caremark has a good website that is easy to navigate and follows up on shipping status. I have had ZERO errors in ordering and shipping. I suspect the majority of the reviews listed here are either FAKE or from customers who are too stupid to know how to use an online service. Strange that 95% of the reviews are 1 star? There is not one review above 3? Shame on Trust Pilot for not monitoring these reviews better.
CVS Caremark is a fraud in a broad…
CVS Caremark is a fraud in a broad daylight. Recently my wife got an ear drops prescription for 5 days. She has BCBS MedicareRX of MA insurance.
It was called by Dr.into CVS. CVS said that it would cost (after insurance?) $128. When I refused to pay this much, they told me that with Goodrx they can give me a better deal for $48 cash.
Then i looked up other pharmacies and found that at local supermkt pharmacy it is $12 with GoodRx. This is totally outrageous. I wrote a complaint to BCBSRX. Then i discovered that CVS Caremark actually administers BCBS RX of MA. Can you freaking beleive it? What a conflict of interest!!!
CVS--hard to say which is worse--their…
hard to say which is worse--their drugstores or their mail order plans...AWFUL awful customer (dis)service...hate them...and am stuck with them...the WORST!!!
Forced to use worst service.
Forced to use worst service.
I can't even refill a normal script with a normal rx number on their out-of-date terrible prescription service. I NEVER WANTED TO BE A CUSTOMER BUT IM FORCED TO BY CVS PBM.
Should be ZERO stars!
Should be ZERO stars!
This service has proven to be incapable to fulfill its obligations on multiple levels.
CVS Caremark has demonstrated how ineffective, unwilling, greedy, stingy, unethical, and unprincipled they are. I’ve given this company nearly one year grace to get it together…. I expressed some basic industry standards that are seriously lacking, and still NOTHING!
CVS CAREMARK has abdicated, relinquished, abandoned its functionality. Here’s two areas:
1-CVS CAREMARK refuses to do cost sharing with secondary insurances! The result has been an overwhelming financial burden on customers!! Where is the cost analysis on this business model?
2-CVS CAREMARK continues to shift responsibility back to customers & doctors when they can’t meet their own obligations to FILL/REFILL a prescription. Since when is this NOT the responsibility of a pharmacy? This is the function YOU were hired for! STOP giving me “to do” lists!
The second I get a chance to leave this arbitrary and capricious “non-service” company, well that will be a terrific second!!!
Profits over patients
Profits over patients.
Worst insurance company I ever had for medications. Doctor puts in PA, appeals etc they still deny the medication
If you were dying and had no alternative they would let you die rather than fill medications . I can only pray somehow they go out of business and my company is forced to use another company.
They are the worst they don't give a crap about you
This company worships the almighty dollar. I am reporting them to my state's department of insurance ,the NAIC
Will never use the mail order through…
Will never use the mail order through Caremark they they will create a ups label and not send it off but post on the website shipped when it hasn’t shipped and they’ll ignore the part that says the shipper has not shipped package. So now I can’t get a new prescription because Caremark put in the system it’s been shipped when it hasn’t and they don’t know what happened to the package smh and the elite team people doesn’t seem elite they couldn’t fix their mistake .
The absolute worst place
The absolute worst place. Denies all coverage even if pre authorization. Horrible customer service. It’s awful. Sadly won’t help the health of others yet takes companies and peoples money. Complete scam.
CVS leaves me high and dry
I had my prescription for 3" syringes sent to Caremark's mail order service. Because it was not covered, they simply cancelled the prescription. They made no attempt to reach me. They made no attempt to use the credit card I have on file with them. They didn't even reach out to the local CVS Caremark pharmacy to transfer the prescription. They just left me high and dry.
I only found out because I noticed I hadn't heard from them. On my first call, their representative left me on hold for five minutes and then hung up on me. I had to call them again to find out they simply don't even TRY to contact you in a timely manner, or to help you solve the problem.
CVS Caremark: DON'T USE THEIR INCOMPETENT, UNPROFESSIONAL MAIL ORDER.
Horrible Customer Service
Horrible! I called twice to verify that they could fill my prescription. Once they received my prescription, they canceled it without notifying me because they do not carry this drug for mail order delivery. Now they cannot transfer it to a local CVS to fill and I have to go back to the doctor for a new prescription! COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE!
When I call I am passed to a Customer…
When I call I am passed to a Customer Care person who sounds as though he or she is in China. I can't understand them nor can I communicate with them.
