The new updated app is like 'the app developers discovered internet yesterday'. I can't see the time of movies which are running on the current day.
Made a bad call on subscribing.

The changes to Cineworld Unlimited bookings are genuinely one of the most frustrating changes you could have made.

Not being able to book tickets for your partner or friends who also have Unlimited makes organising a simple trip to the cinema unnecessarily stressful. We just want to choose a film, book our seats together and enjoy an evening out.

Instead, everyone now has to coordinate their bookings at exactly the same time and hope we can all grab seats together. What used to be a nice, easy evening at the cinema now feels like you need tactical SAS skills just to book your squad in to see a film.

It honestly makes you question whether having Unlimited is worth it anymore.

This change doesn’t improve the customer experience — it actively makes it worse. You’re taking something that should be convenient and turning it into a chore.

Please bring back the ability for Unlimited members to book other Unlimited members’ tickets together. If you don’t, I genuinely think you’ll lose customers over it.

Possibly the world’s stupidest cinema booking change.

Booked avengers endgame encore specifically here because it said it was an infinity vision screening which I was told shows all the new footage for doomsday. When it got to the end it showed 3 but missed off the TVA scene. Definitely false advertising I have an odeon limitless membership as well so could have watched this version there for free. Contacted customer services and they fobbed me off.

Whoever is responsible for functionality of their website, deserves a sack! You can't join unlimited, the system won't let you upload a photo for the pass, putting new customers off and wasting people's time.

the app has changed again and unable to book 2 unlimited tickets together. Customer service inexistent. Forms to fill not relevant, confusing and unhelpful.Membership is good value but when something goes wrong it s a black hole.

I am one of the people affected by the update. The system won't take my money? I updated my card details on the website and even did the bank verification on the app. The bank have confirmed there is still a direct debit setup on my account so they can easily take the money.

I had to pay 13.99 for a ticket yesterday 04/10/2026, this is joke and I've been a member since 2019 and at risk of losing my black card. I made a ticket and also messaged them on X on Friday, it's Monday today and still not heard a thing.

I was just happy the Cineworld staff even said since the phone system got removed the customer service has been awful and is a nightmare to deal with, so I'll give credit where it is due for them admitting that.

What on earth have you done to the website! Will travel and extra 20 mins to another cinema so we don't have to put up with this rubbish

Terrible website update, it was much harder to navigate and check what's showing on certain days, not it has decided to completely block me with a 403 error, so I guess I have no choice, I won't be using cineworld again, Vue instead now

Terrible app update removes the ability to book for friends and family, nightmare booking for more than two people now. App 100% downgraded too.

I took out an Unlimited Card membership, and had to change my payment details shortly afterwards. After doing this, I received a plethora of emails telling me to do what I had already done. They refuse to speak to you on the telephone, and now my Unlimited membership is not working. An absolute joke of a company.

Very shit service we waiting on counter for drinks and popcorn but they are just talking each others they don’t care customers after 20 min she said sorry my shift finished very very shit service I never come I’m totally disappointed

Appalling customer service for unlimited members. There is no phone number, web chat or email to get in touch. Just a contact form that you fill out and wait for a response to.
And I mean waaaaaiiiiiiiitttt.
As in weeks.
For a basic response to a simple enquiry like ‘what is my son’s card number’
That I only need because you changed your app so that I can’t book for him like I used to. He’s a child. He’s never had his own account. Just get me the details so I can get him set up please. This is such a joke. Why does that take weeks?

Cineworld what are u playing at, the new app/website is crap! Had unlimited for 10 years along with my best friend, we come weekly but now it’s nothing short of stressful booking it then hoping we can get sat next to each other now we’re no longer allowed to book together. If this is to stop people from passing their free tickets to people why couldn’t u just check our photo id cards on the way in??? The app used to have my photo on the card now it’s blank so I can screen shot it & pass it round not only for tickets but 25% off food & drinks to all my family & friends to use, so well done on whatever you were trying to achieve because you’ve just made it a lot easier for people to do this (I’ve never done this fyi) and made it extremely difficult for us loyal regular customers to book, no wonder you’ve almost gone into liquidation more than once & thank god a Vue has opened in the town, time to say goodbye Cineworld!!! 1 star is being generous because we can do no stars!!!

Extremely disappointed with Cineworld’s new website and app. Unlimited members can apparently no longer book tickets for other Unlimited friends and family, meaning a group of four now has to make four separate bookings and somehow coordinate seats.

This is a major step backwards and makes the Unlimited membership far less useful for people who regularly go to the cinema together.

Cineworld needs to be clear: is this a temporary technical limitation, or has Friends & Family booking been permanently removed?

If it is permanent, I will seriously consider freezing or cancelling my membership. Customers deserve a clear answer, not a generic explanation of the new booking process.

Why is there no choice for 0 stars on this.. if anything it should allow us to give minus! Don't bother with unlimited!

1st -They don't take future payments on the date you 1st originally signed up to it. They instead take it out 3 days before! And if you cancel your card you can't use it up to the date you first took them out. Ie we did ours on the 18th of the month as we get paid on the 16th of every month they take it out on the 15th and when we cancelled 1 of the cards as we got a cea due to my health we couldn't book anything after the 15th!!

2nd - No customer service to talk too. You have to email which takes days of waiting for a reply and even then it is extremely difficult to get them to understand what the hell you are talking about! It starts to feel insulting!

3rd - Always short staffed at the actual cinema it's beyond a joke! Ques all through the arcade and there isn't anyone else available to just jump on.

4th - Cinema is always dirty when we go it's beyond a joke. We take in wipes just to clean it ourselves!

5th - You now have to pay to see Marvel movies!! Even if you are an black card unlimited member!! It is disgusting, I pay £19.99 a month and yet I still have to pay you more! What a joke! Absolutely disgusting! I have missed not only endgame encore but now will be missing doomsday because you can't just play a normal format or just allow unlimited members to see it at the monthly cost we already pay to you!! Stop being greedy and making people pay extra when we already pay loads to you as it is!!

6th - The new booking system is completely ridiculous! I now can't book with our family members who also have an unlimited card!! My dad now has to try and remember to bring his phone with him to have his ticket as I can't just book it into 1 booking!

Cineworld is absolutely scamming people and the customer service is shocking and insulting. You should be ashamed of yourselves! Pure daylight robbery! Fix your issues! And stop charging extra to those that already pay a fortune each bloody month! Stop conning people!!

Absolutely awful app and website. Why would you remove the ability for 2 unlimited members to book together?

No wonder Cineworld is facing (or was) administration, do you hate your customers? I've been an unlimited sybscriber as once 2016 but the recent app "update" has got me wondering if they want our custom, my partner and I can no longer book seats together - why???
Coupled with your inflated snack prices and mediocre customer service I'm really considering cancelling my subscription.
Shape up or I won't miss you when you inevitably face administration!!

App used to be easy to use - now it is a nightmare - if I could give it zero stars I would.

My wife and I now need to book up separately and hope we can sit next to each other. I think we will end up cancelling at least one of our unlimited memberships.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Unable to speak to someone regarding an issue I had with a booking and end up in a loop of useless contact forms. Definitely not going to bother with them again.

I visited Cineworld as a manual wheelchair user, and I wanted to share how fantastic the service was. Sharon and Kelsy were absolutely excellent. They were both incredibly polite and friendly, and they went out of their way to help me carry my popcorn and drink all the way to the screen. It is rare to find such genuinely helpful and welcoming staff, and they made my visit so smooth and enjoyable. Thank you both so much for the wonderful service!
