The fire we ordered was damaged
The fire we ordered was damaged. Contacted customer services and they are one of the most unhelpful companies. Weren't willing to try and rectify the inconvenience this caused. Now awaiting the refund for a very expensive defective product which clearly does not get checked before being shipped out.

The product is fine, delivery slow

You did indeed acknowledge my email after five hours (not four).
But I emailed you at 9am on the day it was supposed to be delivered, and you replied at 7pm, at which time I had been waiting home all day hoping the item would arrive as promised (it didn’t).
In your reply, all you said was it would be there ‘as soon as possible,’ not even providing a nominated day.
So your reply below insinuating it was resolved within four hours is simply incorrect, and you wasted my time.
As previously noted, I then had to email again the following day to ask for a refund, which you could have proactively offered considering I had already had to contact you.
Original review:
The product is fine, but I paid for next day delivery. Got no updates or communication as to whether it was going to arrive or not.
Had to email customer service a couple of times and they were slow to reply and not that helpful, I had to specifically ask for my £9.50 next day delivery fee back in yet another email (rather than them offering it) and they still weren’t clear about timescales.

OKO s1 Fire. Great price and availability
OKO s1 Bi - ethanol fire is as good as the advertising states. Fireplace world sold this at a highly competitive price and despatched within 2 days of order. Only glitch was courier service were slow in getting delivery to my Highlands address. I contacted Fireplace World who were quick to reply and my delivery arrived a day later.
