Good experience of phoning in the morning and achieving a same day purchase with part ex involved too . Quite a few hurdles for our salesperson Carla to jump through but all handled really well along with last minute service too ..

Good experience which could have been excellent if a couple of areas were improved
Able to make appointment which went ahead on time. Supplier able to answer all questions. Test drive accomplished in first visit. Price was fair. Some negotiation possible re trade-in and warranty purchase. This part was added to the end of discussion with a more senior employee who was deliberately very fast and a little pushy. Overall felt the deal was reasonable but didn't have a chance to test it with alternatives. For example was not given full details of warranty I was buying - I got the impression the sale of the warranty was very important to the supplier. Luckas the initial salesman was very personable and helpful. The company could improve on communications by not sending out emails with noreply meaning any queries had to then go back via a central mailbox. One of the emails had a link that did not work. The store is large and very busy. I was late for the collection of the car due to a traffic jam and consequently had to wait 45 minutes to be served and then everything was rushed. Consequently I found myself in a few situations where I had to google answers because I was stuck (e.g. removing the charging cable and releasing the car from parking mode). Not really their fault just circumstantial on a very busy day for them.

Fair prices and exceptional customer service
FOW are fully deserving of their excellent reputation and are, in my view, the benchmark for all used car supermarkets.
I visited on a bank holiday weekend and, despite the high volume of customers, their efficiency and exceptional customer service shone through.
I had reserved a vehicle online, which, on viewing, surpassed my expectations. It was in mint condition and very fairly priced. I was also offered a very reasonable part-exchange deal on my existing car.
I collected my beautifully presented new car the following day and I am truly delighted with it - and with FOW, for making the whole experience so straightforward and stress-free.

Got what we wanted!
My partner and I reserved a car at the Trafford location which we saw online and had our hearts set on it the moment we got in to test drive it.

First initial sale with Ella was very…
First initial sale with Ella was very positive, unfortunately the collection day wasn’t the same experience for us. We were told to collect at 12pm but had to wait an hour before we were seen. We ran through final details and as soon as I said there was a slight change in our payment and would not be using their finance the sales reps attitude changed. She was quite rude with a condescending manner which I did not appreciate especially when parting with a lot of money.
There was another error on FOW part, we were told initial sale day that the car came with a 4 year warranty but when we collected the car that wasn’t the case- it was only under warranty if we took their finance plan which none of this was explained as it was built into the monthly repayment plan. we had been led to believe the car automatically came with a Warranty , this was very misleading and disappointing as the original sale experience was great. They had also added the guard x to the car which we had declined at the point of sale when paid the deposit.
Not the best overall experience but Ella was lovely and looking back we wish we had waited for her return to deal with her

We're sorry, however, that the collection experience didn't meet the same standard. Waiting an hour beyond your agreed collection time is frustrating, and we're particularly concerned to hear how you felt you were spoken to after advising that you would no longer be using the finance option.
We're also sorry for the confusion surrounding the warranty and GuardX. Any optional products, their costs and any conditions attached to them should be clearly explained so that you understand exactly what is and isn't included before making your decision. Equally, if GuardX had been declined, this should have been accurately reflected throughout the process.
We appreciate you bringing these points to our attention. Your feedback will be shared with the relevant team so the communication, customer handover and explanation of additional products can be reviewed.

Just bought a Volvo XC40 and whole experience from reserving the car to actually buying the car was stress free. No pressure from anyone to buy and given plenty of time to look around the vehicle. The only little negatives are the test drive could be longer and you only get 30 days warranty. I would recommend buying from here and I would buy from here again.

I’m a 3 time FOW customer
I’m a 3 time FOW customer, albeit with long intervals between purchases.
What I’ve noticed is lack of 121 accountability, sales people at best may identify themselves but no follow up via individual business cards - email addresses etc.
This time I was P/X one car against another, with an established timeframe.
Several days later a FOW employee (unknown) advised completion delayed. I had already arranged insurance transfer at £cost. I was advised that the costs (to reverse) would be reimbursed- via fuel credit.
Several days before pick up ‘Neil’ (collections) advised new completion date.
I reiterated promised fuel cost credit.
Neil acknowledged, and advised he would email “Ash” (Ashley) ehm would arrange.
On collection day - Saturday 29th August ‘Ash’ was on a day off and I was passed to another FOW colleague
‘Surprisingly’ - ZERO fuel in car, so customer out of pocket for FOW mistakes!!!
