Overall very good. Quick delivery and good price. I ordered black mild steel and some brushed stainless tube. What would have been an improvement is if the brushed stainless had been film wrapped or... Mehr ansehen

Disappointed
Made an order ,1 piece turned up damages 3 days later, one bit turned up a week later, and after 5 phone calls and getting fobbed off with excuses my final piece was delivered 2 weeks after being ordered. I have since purchased steel from a new stockholder at half the price so it seems I was being ripped off as well.

Good Afternoon,
We are very sorry to hear about your experience with this order.
Unfortunately, this was one of those orders where everything seemed to go wrong with the courier. Items were repeatedly damaged during transit, and on some occasions the courier did not notify us of the damage, meaning we only became aware of the issues when you contacted us to chase the outstanding items. We completely understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly after having to contact us several times.
Once it became clear that the courier was unable to deliver the remaining item reliably, we arranged a private vehicle to deliver it directly to you. We also refunded one of the items as a gesture of goodwill in recognition of the inconvenience caused.
We are genuinely sorry that you experienced this level of service. While we cannot undo the frustration and delays you experienced, we did take additional steps to get the order completed and try to put things right.
In regard to the pricing, we always try to remain as competitive as possible and we also offer a price-matching service for genuine like-for-like quotes. We would always be happy to look into a competitor's price if a customer feels they have found the same product elsewhere for less.
Once again, we are very sorry for the experience you had with this order.
Kind Regards,

Always reliable, excellent free cutting service.
I've used metals4u a few times now and they are very reliable. The free cutting service is excellent and always accurate.
My latest order for some heavy duty angle iron, flat bar and rod was "irretrievable destroyed" in transit by Evri (how is this even possible?) - one call to metals4u and the order was re-cut and delivered by a more reliable courier less than 48 hours later. Excellent customer service.
