DO NOT USE THIS PET INSURANCE COMPANY!

One star is one too many for perfect pet insurance!

I suffer from Alzheimer’s and dementia, we recently lost our family pet, when we called to tell perfect pets of the bad news, the lady on the phone showed no compassion or understanding at all.

Instead, she informed us that we had entered into a contract with perfect pets, and although our dog sadly had to be put to sleep, they want us to keep paying his monthly premium for the remainder of the term, which is in 2027, even though he is no longer with us.

This is absolutely shocking!
I can no longer drive or work because of my illness, but if I were able to still drive and my car was in an accident and written off, and my insurer paid out - they would not expect me to keep paying my insurance premium afterwards. However for some reason, perfect pets think it is reasonable and ethical to expect owners to keep paying long after their pet has passed away because they have paid out earlier in the policy term.

This is absolutely disgraceful and this is not well advertised in the terms and conditions!

EVERYONE SHOULD BE AWAY OF THE DISGRACEFUL COMPANY!

Go elsewhere if you want a proper service and proper, FAIR cover!

Shame on you perfect pets!

Quibble over breed of dog she is more than two breeds ,but apparently that amounts to a cross ridiculous.

James was really understanding and helpful. He supported me and resolved my concerns quickly. A very good representative for the company, I am a long term customer and have just renewed for an another year based on the service received.

Absolutely disgusting service from this insurance company! I called today to notify them that my 11 year old French bulldog, sadly had to be put to sleep 2 weeks ago.

The agent that I spoke to, who would seriously benefit from some training in empathy and compassion, told me that I still had to pay his monthly premium for the next 6 months (even though he is no longer with us!) because they paid out on less than 30% of the total cost!

This company is an absolute joke expecting me to continue paying a premium for my dog that is no longer alive! They expect me to keep paying until well into 2027!

When I questioned this, the agents level of understanding was “well you have to pay because you agreed to a 12 month contract.”

I would seriously advise anyone who is considering this company to think twice and I will not stop educating people about this disgusting company!

I rated you 1 star because it was the lowest I could go… you deserve a zero! Your customer service is shocking, I was not even passed over to the bereavement team, and for your agent to smugly say at the end of the call “enjoy your day” is nothing short of sickening considering I was calling to ask about a deceased pet.

Absolutely no level of compassion or understanding!

Jake was very helpful. Talked me through different options for my renewal to keep costs down for my older cat. Also answered any questions I had and made the process and stress of pet insurance relaxed. Great excess cost at only £99. And cover for each condition rather than just an annual option. Thank you! (Didn't know about the each condition cover until I was told about it)

Jake listened to my request, and was really helpful. He explained clearly my options. He was warm and friendly. We got everything resolved quickly with the best outcome.

Polly who supported me on the claims line, was an excellent example of what customer support and service should be particularly given the sensitive nature of pet insurance. I just had an upsetting situation with my cat being really unwell and she went above and beyond. She was very knowledgeable about the claims process the policy and explained everything in detail, was very knowledgeable and took the time to really walk me through the claims process. She also really showed empathy compassion and understanding in supporting me through this time. This is one of the best discussions I’ve ever had with an insurance company. I will definitely continue to insure my pets with perfect pet after this experience.

Daniel was absolutely amazing 10/10 he really understood my situation and nothing was too much trouble. He was so personalable and kind to me. He has made such a difference to my family honestly Daniel you are amazing thank you so so so much! X

I emailed the team prior to renewal stating a competitive quote. An Agent called me back within two days to explain my renewal premium, he then offered other options on cover and price.
He Listened to my needs and was able to offer a more palatable solution.
Agent was very polite and pleasant to deal with.

I was helped by a lady called Flora.
She made sure to deal with my query promptly and resolved my query with minimal fuss. She was very polite and professional and talked me through what she was doing throughout.
My call was answered quickly and I wasn’t kept waiting.
A good customer experience thank you
