Good product and price, really quick delivery compared to other suppliers.

Super fast delivery. I ordered a Gorilla Generator 9.30pm Monday and it arrived on a pallet Wednesday Afternoon to Aberdeen, Scotland. Free delivery.

Although their prices are competitive and the ordering and delivery process was smooth, that’s not the reason for my Sitebox review. With the prevalence of online shopping, there is one thing that is often a casualty and that is the personal touch.

With Sitebox, I was treated to an experience that many of us of a certain age will remember, it was called Customer Service.

After researching and reading documentation on a manufacturer’s website, I ordered what I consider to be a relatively expensive set of platform steps (as in hundreds of pounds) from Sitebox. These were dispatched directly from the manufacturer, however, when the steps arrived, they were not of the format I had been expecting. I re-checked the manufacturers documentation to verify my expectation was correct then initiated email contact with Sitebox. ‘Carmen’ responded quickly and immediately took ownership of the issue becoming the liaison between me and the manufacturer (who also were most helpful). Between Sitebox and the manufacturer, the issue was eventually resolved with the incorrect steps being duly uplifted and replaced with the correct set, the whole process being relatively painless.

I think anyone who has shopped online regularly will have probably experienced a retailer losing interest the moment they have taken your money. This is certainly not the case with Sitebox who responded to my query quickly and efficiently and I have no hesitation in recommending them as an excellent online retailer.

Just finally. After my thankyou email to Carmen, she responded by saying she was glad it had been resolved and had even left a note to herself to contact me to check on me had she not heard by the end of delivery day. Some possible lessons for other retailers there, I think.

Product as expected, delivered on time.

I saved 10% on the price of a high value item compared to other online retailers which was impressive in itself. When I made enquiries about delivery time the customer service representative went the extra mile at the end of the day to contact the manufacturer to get a time delivery window sent to me by email, who then phoned me on the day of delivery. That kind of thing speaks volumes !

Delivery is fast

Very smooth transaction and delivery- though it was to my neighbour who had to carry a VERY heavy box round to me ( but that is down to the delivery company not Sitebox!)

Ordered the ladder on Friday and it arrived by Tuesday, which was faster than expected. Delivery was smooth overall.

The only downside was that the online tracking information wasn’t very detailed, and the order status updates could be clearer.

That said, the ladder itself is excellent quality — very solid and well-made. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend.
