Conned my wife into taking out an appliance repair insurance and instituted a direct debit. I cancelled before the payment. This is the second time they have suckered my wife.
After complaining they have returned the money after taking it out. Still annoyed they would use a cold call to confuse an elderly woman.

We would like to advise you that we do not provide repair service or insurance and that we provide telecommunication service like BT, Talk Talk and Sky etc. Therefore, we request you to contact the appliance repair company that allegedly called your wife as unfortunately, you are mistaking us for a different company.
Total scam company
Total scam company! Called a registered TPS phone number and then proceeded to tell me i can save money if i switch to them. Eventually got the company name out of the scammer and even though I told them I was with BT they proceeded to hound me to change. NO MORALS / UNETHICAL and avoid at all costs
UPDATE: SO get reply below and STILL they try and push their company even though they know i am happy with BT!!!
Obviously you DON'T FILTER your data because if you did you would not be contacting a registered TPS Number hence scam company!!! Also thanks for confirming - makes it easier to complain about your activities

We would like to clarify that we are not a scam company. We have been in the market for more than a decade and are regulated by the same regulators who regulate BT and other big telecom companies. Also, scammers are not available on review platforms such as Trustpilot, Google etc., and mostly do not have a working customer service number and a website unlike Sparta Telecom. We understand that you are a happy customer of BT and respect your decision of staying with BT only. However, we would like to highlight that we are a way economical alternative and you get to speak with a human being within 1 minutes, when you call us, unlike many big companies including BT.

Had a problem with the phone line, needed it fixed asap as my mother has a panic alarm that uses the phone line, had an engineer come and fix the problem the same day. Great service

Found this company was scamming my elderly parents, and their 'slamming' actions resulted in my parents having no working phone for over 3 weeks.

We would like to inform you that just like any other service provider we also depend on the openreach to supply our services through their infrastructure. We understand that there was a delay in the installation from the openreach, as they explained this was because external work required to be completed by the openreach which including digging work as well before they could complete the installation.
We would like to add that as a responsible service provider we tried to expedite the work with the openreach, however, because of the complexity of the work they could not complete the job as per the customer's expectation.
We regret the inconvenience this would have caused your parents which was never intended by us as a service provider.
Further to your allegation about slamming and scamming your elderly parents, we would like to clarify that never take over a line without taking a clear consent from the customer and we have thousands of customers from the age of 25 years to 85 years old. We believe that every person regardless of their age has the right to receive the best available service at the least possible price.
We pride ourselves as one of the most economical service providers in the UK and would like to continue to serve to people of from all age groups just like any other providers including BT, Sky, Talk Talk etc.

My aged mother was being hounded by scam callers. The operator was very understanding of the situation. I, her son, telephoned to request a change of number and ex-directory. The new number was issued and active within an hour of my call. Excellent.

Great Company, Excellent Customer Services
Sparta Telecom has provided me with very competitive telephone and broadband services from October 2018 and I have found them an exceptionally good company to deal with. They provided me with totally accurate bills including breakdowns on time and on the occasional times that I have had some problems with my broadband services I have found their technical teams extremely knowledgeable, polite and helpful and they have got me back on line with minimum of fuss. I have therefore no hesitation in highly recommending this company for anyone who is looking for a good, cost effective and reliable telecoms company.

I have been getting calls telling me that I am overpaying for my phone and broadband. I know I am not. I am also getting calls saying that The copper lines are ending very soon and I will have to change my supplier. I do not want to change, so I thought the best thing to do was to ring Sparta and find out exactly what is happening. It was explained to me that, yes the lines were changing but not yet and that when it became necessary Sparta would be in touch. That was all I wanted to hear. I can now tell these other companies, who are lying, to go away and that I will deal with when the time comes. Thank you Sparta, please keep providing the excellent service that you do now.

Received a reply from Sparta Telecom. Evidence that they are linked to multiple companies can be found on the government website including the same named directors linked to multiple companies. Once they have your details you cannot cancel their « services » as they recreate new DDs over and over again. I have paid a visit to your « business address » with no one there. Be cautious. These people are scammers!

my grandmother has been scammed out of up to 170 pounds every month for a service she never received or signed up for. 170 for broadband she do not have??? They pray on elderly, vulnerable people. Probably live in the neighbourhood and watch who they can scam out of hundreds of pounds! Vicious!
