Our Classic Crushgrind salt and pepper mills which we purchased in 2017 were made by T&G Woodware Ltd had developed some problems. I contacted a representative of T&G Woodware (who have now acquired the original Ltd company since it ceased trading) and it was revealed that they were committed to helping customers where they could, who had purchased products from the previous company, despite no requirement to do so by honouring previous company's warranties. Apparently they still supply long warranties on their products since acquiring the old company. They sent the internal mechanical components required for me to fix the mills.
Very quick, courteous and professional response both by phone and email. Very impressed. Quality product. Would buy from them again.

Thanks T&G for excellent customer service. From answering the phone quickly to responding quickly to emails, we had great service. The broken mechanisms in our salt and pepper mills, which were five years old, were replaced and new ones sent to us straight away. We're so happy to have them working again.

The customer service at T&G Woodware has been great. They were responsive (they answer the phone and respond quickly to emails!) and extremely helpful in resolving the issue. The design and quality of their Tip Top salt and pepper mills is better than Peugeot in my opinion. Would highly recommend.

We bought a T&G Woodware capstan pepper mill many years ago and it had served us well. Recently the ‘cross bar’ of the plastic circular bracket at the base of the mill broke off meaning that the mill no longer worked properly. I contacted T&G Woodware Sales who sent me a replacement part free of charge. How refreshing - what fabulous customer service! Well done T&G Woodware and thank you for being fabulous. We now have our old faithful pepper mill working beautifully again.

We bought a cruet set from a garden centre away from our home and found the small bung missing.not wanting to travel all the way back we contacted t&g who had acquired the firm that made the set.although not their responsibility they went to the trouble to locate a bung and send it out to us.

I needed to contact this company about a salt mill previously bought, on which I had irrevocably damaged the crucial screw-down adjuster. They responded with outstanding efficiency and courtesy, and everything was resolved in a completely satisfactory way. I would certainly recommend them.

Very pleased to have the mechanism of our pepper mill replaced under the lifetime warranty. We have had the pepper mill for many years and the outside casing was as good as new but the grinding mechanism stopped working. It is fairly rare to find a company that will repair products, as so many items are designed to be discarded. Very impressed with the service T&G offer.

Very poor after sales service - I had a problem with a lifetime guaranteed pepper grinder that never worked properly. When I spoke to them on the phone I was told to photograph the grinder in pieces for a diagnosis to be made - I did this but they didn't respond. Chased it up 4 weeks later - they had no record of my e-mail. They sent me a returns slip & I sent the grinder back - I didn't hear from them again. I chased it up 4 weeks later - they appear to have received my grinder, but decided before losing it that it was irreparable - however they failed to let me know this. They asked me what wood it was made from - I said the same wood that the grinder I sent was made of. They sent me a replacement that was made of completely the wrong wood. Now I have a non-matching pair of grinders but dare not send them back because they appear incompetent & would probably lose them. Dreadful!

My pepper mill I have had for over 15 years ! the ring at the bottom of the mill had snapped. I called, the lady I spoke to was so friendly and helpful and said she would pop one in the post. Two days later it arrived with no charge! Excellent service , so straight forward! Thankyou Fiona May ☺️

Returned a pepper mill after years of enthusiastic family use, must have ground a ton of pepper in its life. I had no guarantee details and no proof of purchase. It came back fixed, functioning and full of pepper! No charge, and with a delightful letter from T&G customer services. I will recommend them to anybody thinking of buying Christmas presents - a lifetime guarantee that really means something!

I have had a pair of Apollo salt and pepper mills for quite a few years. The salt mill was damaged and I emailed the company regarding a repair. They asked me to send it to them and then returned it to me in brand new condition at no cost! Fantastic service and I would advise everyone to purchase from this British company in future.

So I have a pair of salt and pepper mills and both mechanisms have failed.

Long story short but I experienced the most convoluted email exchange over pretty much 2 months.

Several descriptions of the problem, pictures, measurements on and on these emails went, further explanations of the issues and by the end of it the solution was to send them in!

Really if the option was to send them in to be repaired then why not just do that at email one?

The mechanism isn’t exactly rocket science, I’ve already had to take them apart to satisfy the most in depth warranty analysis this side of NASA!

Why don’t you save time, money and hassle and just post them out??

I’ve frankly given up and I’ll find another supplier.

The pepper mill we bought is lovely but importantly, the customer service was fantastic.

I spoke with 2 different members of the team and everything was incredibly efficient whilst they fell over themselves to support me.

The very best customer service I have ever experienced! I have had a set of T&G salt & pepper mills for well over 20 years and previously had to return them after 12 years or so as they began to work less effectively, however, they were repaired free of charge under the lifetime guarantee that covers the grinding mechanism, they came back as good as new and I have had many more years of excellent use.

I recently had a similar issue and returned them once again, and again they were repaired free of charge. (It really is a lifetime guarantee on the mechanism). Unfortunately, this time the repair didn't fully fix the issue as the wood itself had worn, over the years of use, to the point that the mechanism no longer sat in the correct location. When I contacted Fiona in Customer Services to explain the issue, she agreed without hesitation to replace both salt & pepper grinders at a discounted price as I had been a long term customer! They just arrived today, brand new and full of salt & pepper! Along with the base to stand them in which was FOC! Thank you so much. Happy Christmas to a caring company & lovely staff x

Excellent, quick customer service, despite the inevitable problems that COVID is causing for businesses. After the mechanism on a CrushGrind salt mill failed after many years usage, the lifetime guarantee was honoured without hesitation, with a new mill being immediately dispatched. A standard of customer service that you always hope for, but only occasionally receive.
