I used to swear by the zip yard in Blanch; wouldn’t go anywhere else but I’ve been bitterly bitterly disappointed by my last two visits. I had a suit altered last year that was destroyed which they were really apologetic about. Last month I dropped a pair of brand new trousers into be lengthen by an inch. Got them back and one leg was longer than the other. Brought back for them to the fixed but somehow were still uneven. I ended up bringing them elsewhere to be fixed in the end. That’s me done with them unfortunately.

Helen at the zipyard maynooth is an artist! I was so worried about my wedding dress as it did not fit right at all. I took it to Helen and she made it fit me absolutely perfectly and I fell in love with it all over again. Just a lovely experience to deal with her, very calming and reassuring and the work was simply stunning. Can't recommend her highly enough

Very disappointing experience,on the website they advertise express one hour service,I needed my zip repaired on my jeans in a hurry and when I went to avail of this service I was told it would be over 2 weeks of a wait! Website needs to be updated to remove a service that's not being offered anymore to avoid more disappointed customers!

I took a dress into zip yard that I bought for a wedding the dress cost me alot of money but it needed a bit taken in at the sides and the arms needed to be made shorter. I took it in on the Saturday and it was ready to collect the Saturday after. I tried it on and it was very badly done and the sleeves were still to long. So they said it's ok we will fix it. I then got another message to say it was fixed I was horrified at the mess they had made of my beautiful oasis Dress. This was 3 days before the wedding. The gentleman offered me a refund for the price of the repair. But they totally ruined my dress that cost me £160 That cannot be worn due to the state of the repair. I took it to another place. Who told me their was nothing they could do the damage has been done.dont take anything their if it cost alot of money the repair was shabby work.now I have a dress that still has the tags on it that can't be worn. Such ashame

Fantastic service with Zip Yard in Douglas Cork. Opted for the express service and all completed within one hour on a busy Saturday morning when I had left it to last minute. Really pleasant and friendly staff who couldn’t have been more helpful. Thanks for your help!

Do not use this place ever, guys. Unless you are masochists who enjoy wasting time and money. It's literally impossible to communicate with staff working there. VERY, VERY disappointing and unreliable service that cost me over a 100 euro on ruined clothes and another 40 on top of that for the lousy, unprofessional job they've done. And it was only two simple shirt alternations. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Customer service needs a lot of work in limerick store. I felt so small! The receptionist wasn’t working that day and so an elderly lady was taking over. She continuously reminded me that she was “doing me a favour”- which she overcharged me for! I don’t think you should belittle your customers to the point of tears. When I asked her why she was being so mean she laughed at me. I asked her could I just take the dress elsewhere to which she replied no as it was “already in the system”. I left embarrassed and cannot believe that people like her still exist in this world.

Absolutely amazing work. Very quick and skilful and reasonably priced too. I’ve had many things repaired/altered here and it’s a first class job each time and the lady there is very professional and polite. Couldn’t be happier with the repair done on my son’s coat today. Highly recommended

Excellent service for trouser alterations.
Pinned up to the correct length & ready to collect in under 24hours!
I will use Zipyard again as I have another pair of trousers where the zip needs replacing.
Prices are reasonable in my view.

Lost my bridesmaid dress and carried out incorrect alterations. Altrincham Store.

I took two dresses to the Zip Yard to be altered, unfortunately, I was left very disappointed. One of the dresses was a bridesmaid dress and needed altering in three places; length, tapering and the straps needed to be stitched in. After being pinned into the dress, I was told the price and was a little shocked by the cost. However, I had left it quite late to get the alterations done, so trusted that for the price they would do an excellent job. I paid my money and arranged to come and collect the dresses two weeks later at 9am.

On arriving at 9am on the given Saturday, I was advised that the dresses were not there, they had perhaps been sent to another store to be altered but they didn't know. You can imagine my panic! After chasing a few times, I was advised that the dresses had been found and due to the inconvenience they would be brought to my house at 5:30. At 5:30 I received a call saying that they would not be brought around until 7:30.

On receiving the dresses and trying them on, I noticed that the straps had not been sewn in as requested and paid for. On contacting the manager I was advised that they had in fact been shortened not stitched in, so now the straps were too tight.

After explaining that the alterations had been done incorrectly and that the whole process unnecessarily stressful, especially for the price, I was offered a small refund for the incorrect alternations and told 'you were not obliged to proceed with our prices. That was your choice.'

No I was not obliged to leave my dress, but I would have expected the work that I had contracted them to do to be carried out and any mistakes rectified.

On their website it says 'indeed it''s our guarantee to every customer that when you come to the Zip Yard, you'll always receive 100% satisfaction every time'. Which was certainly not the case.

I have used Zipyard Bedford (76 High St, Bedford MK40 1NN, UK) on several occasions over the past couple of years.
The service is exemplary.
Always great quality work, done quickly and priced reasonably.
Graeme Mulheron, the owner, really understands how to deliver good service and I would highly recommend the Bedford branch of Zipyard.

I couldn’t be more impressed with my visit to Yipyard, Thomas Street Limerick.
I alway used Fitrite religiously until I moved to London. I’m home & live in Cork but I heard Zipyard Thomas street were great. I popped in today & was blown away by the customer service & had to share it. You know who you are & keep being you because it matters. Made my month! Thank you!

I went to this establishment with a pair of trousers to be dry cleaned. The trousers returned had changed colour. The company refused to refund the cost of the trousers for the damage they have done. Everything that was requested was 50 EUR. Under any circumstances trust this company, they can even answer for a low cost item.

I took a maxi dress in to be shortened as it was too long.
The customer service was appalling. The lady who served me was very curt and aggressive. The staff doing the work, looked like they were afraid to speak. It felt like I had walked in to a sweat box environment, very third world. All the workers were European. It all felt very uncomfortable. The work carried out was fine. But the experience was very unpleasant. I will find somewhere else next time.
I gave three stars because the work was ok.

A total waste of time. Took a backpack in to have the zip repaired, claimed it couldn't be repaired because it was "hard to work with". Bear in mind this company advertises they repair leatherwear, the rucksack was made from nylon, surely no more difficult than leather. Utterly disappointed. Took the backpack to a local cobbler, took him less than three minutes to repair. Caveat Emptor
