Lo primero que tiene que mejorar es la atención al cliente.
El Hotel Barcelo Punta Umbria Beach Resort en mi opinión no es un buen Hotel.
El ruido es tremendo, muy masificado, la comida pésima, las habitaciones muy antiguas, precio calidad no se corresponden y para terminar me abrieron la maleta y sustrajeron el libro electrónico, ni una sola disculpa, es más la persona de recepción me dijo que pusiera una denuncia.
Una experiencia nada recomendable donde no volveremos ni tampoco recomendaremos.

I stayed at barcelo hotel in Benidorm I luv it stayed there 2 times the staff is very helpful it was my partner birthday they gave us a bottle of champagne and cake, then when we was leaving they gave us a bottle of champagne and fruit on a slate beautiful it was . But I do have to say food is very nice but I did not find it hot it was barley warm that was the negative warm plate and hot food would be brilliant.

The hotel (Torremolinos Playa) will get a seperate review because it's amazing, but the policy of Barcelo & it's customer service is outrageous and frustrating.
I already paid the full amount for the original booking, but when I lost my original Creditcard, Barcelo forced me to make a new booking & pay the whole 800 euros again.
Then, they ask for ridiculous documents that an average bank is not allowed to provide to be able to get a refund for the original booking.
Customer service is not clear about the process and says 'you'll get your money back in 7 days', only to find out afterwards that I have to go through several more steps to receive my refund.
It all seems like ways to get more money from guests by frustrating them and hoping they give up.
This whole process has costs me hours and hours now, and I still don't have my money back.

Llevo 18 años yendo a Hoteles Barceló, distintos por toda la geografía nacional, más en las Baleares, el último el Aguamarina de Felanitx o Cala Dor. Sencillamente brutal el hotel, renovado hace varios años, de lo mejor en todo, a pie de cala Ferrera, turquesa como pocas, se come de escándalo, y a la carta si coges el T I plus, habitaciones con las mejores vistas al mar de toda Mallorca, te tiras del balcón y caes en un yate o velero de lujo.
Nombrare algunas de las personas que me hacen sentir la Felicidad vacacional: Eva, Ana de recepción, Jesús metre Jose, Miguel, Ali, Félix, Dani, Flor, Jesús, Estivaliz, Gregorio, Iñaki, camareros, Natalia Subdirectora y Paul Director.
Auténtico equipo de profesionales de medalla de oro olímpica de trato exquisito al cliente.
Lo recomiendo, solo para los que quieran conocer un destino paradisíaco del caribe español.
Por algo Barceló es estandarte de calidad en todo el mundo. Respeto las malas opiniones y experiencias, pero no las comparto en absoluto.

No se cómo un hotel Barceló puede tener contratado a un jefe de cocina tirano, flojo y que humilla a sus empleados en lugar de hacer su trabajo que es dirigir la cocina y enseñar a sus empleados. Este hotel de tanto prestigio debería tener más controlados a los trabajadores con cargos y saber que insultan y desprecian el trabajo realizado, ya que sería más lícito prescindir del servicio del trabajador que no da la talla a destruir su integridad y su mente hasta el término de llegar a deprimirlos.

We have stayed 3 times at Barcelo Corralejo Bay Fuerteventura each time we have had great food & service. Rooms are good, cleaned every day, Staff are very helpful. We have already booked our 2025 holiday at the hotel in Lanzarote
False advertising- barcelo Fortina…
False advertising- barcelo Fortina hotel in Malta does NOT have a swimming pool. It begs a few beds from the Manta pool across the road and if you miss the deadline to ‘book’ one of these few beds - tough! Manta guests have total priority - hotel guests are treated as absolute irritants. No parasols, rat traps, bin stores but that is of course if you manage to get a bed. It’s is a monstrous false claim to show a pool in the adverts for the hotel - in other countries I’m sure it would be checked as guests cannot assume to get use of a pool that is advertised and giving the impression of general availability. No better than the Magaluf hotels you see with guests running to reserve beds. I’ve personally never experienced anything like it especially at a supposed 5 star hotel. Every day without fail there are many hotel guests arguing with the Manta staff about the way they are being treated - this is not exaggeration it is true. You can ignore this review and risk it but be warned - read all the reviews and take pot luck. I personally would look at the many alternative hotels and book elsewhere. Until Barcelo take management of the pool guests will always be treated as second rate guests there. Such a shame because it’s a nice hotel otherwise
Great Trip, Nightmare After!
Our family vacation at the Mya Riviera Barcelo Palace Resort was wonderful until my child fell ill. We sought medical attention at the resort's 5-star facility, where the physician recommended my daughter go to the local hospital for further testing. Although her condition was non-urgent, an ambulance was suggested. I specifically asked the physician to ensure our insurance covered the ambulance ride; otherwise, I preferred taking a cab. After several phone calls, the physician assured me the ride was covered.
However, a few months later, we received a $2,000 invoice for the ambulance ride. When I called the resort, I faced numerous disconnects and was unable to reach the medical clinic. Once I finally got through, I was told to contact the ambulance company directly. The email provided bounced back immediately, and my follow-up emails to the resort went unanswered.
Choosing a 5-star resort should come with a guarantee of safety and security. Unfortunately, I feel scammed by this fraudulent behavior, which is unacceptable at a 5-star resort. Because of this experience, I will never return to any Barcelo resorts.

Comfortable Beds and pillows..
Comfortable Beds and pillows..here for a month!! at Allegro Isora los gigantees..this made my holiday so comfortable..large apt..and FERNADO and staff are GREAT..SO HELPFUL.. forgot my charger HE charged every night for me..so friendly..just one thing could make it a comfy hotel is soft comfy chairs in the entertainment room rather than plastic..

Barcelo Santiago, Tenerife.
Our favorite Tenerife hotel that we have stayed at several times. The staff and food etc. are really good and our Junior Suite was great.
Sadly the new "Adults Only" change has its benefits and downfalls.
Now, not being a family hotel, the noise has become an issue for this wonderfully sited property.
Most of the sea view rooms overlook the games and pools areas where there are noisy activities during the day and late evening.
It seems to me that the main problem is by the abuse of the loudspeaker system, that echoes off of the walls and is really unpleasant.
There is a particular "entertainer" that has a very loud voice and screams and shouts into a microphone presumably to excite the holidaymakers. (Reminds me of a boot camp crossed with Butlins). I respect that she has a job to do but she really does not need a microphone.
There was often other announcements that were so loud and distorted that you could not actually hear what was being said.
Similarly with the music which was spoiled by being over amplified and the overemphasis on bass that actually gave me a headache so that I had to go inside from our terrace and close the doors. Even then the bass could be heard.
It is such a shame that the overuse of the amplifiers distorted and ruined some really good acts / music.
Bear in mind that our rooms were at the side of the main building. Goodness knows how those nearer put up with it is beyond me!
Please, please, turn it down so that we can consider returning again.
Pésima experiencia
Lo peor de lo peor…servicio lamentable. La habitación olía mal, me cambiaron a otra que había bichos, al final me conformé con un tercer cambio con el único detalle de unas pastas después de todos los contratiempos sufridos. No recomiendo esta cadena para nada de nada. Pesima.
All inclusive it is not!
We stayed at the Tenerife Barcelo, arriving home yesterday. Before going we were aware of the tiered system, I had seen the hotel all over Instagram and had enquired with a few influencers what the difference was between All inclusive and Royal level .. they said that they received multiple visits to the Ala carte restaurants, a separate area in restaurants, and their own pool with waiter service. as far as we were concerned we as “ all inclusive” would receive use of the breeze bar for lunch, 1 visit each to the Ala cartes, and the rest of the time we would use the buffet and we were happy with this. Within minutes of checking in it was clear there were 3 levels.. Ai, Ai+ and Royal level, meaning we, as AI were bottom of the food chain- and also being called a “ different class” to the clients in RL by the check in staff.
The following day we talked to a couple in a similar situation who had paid £400 extra when they arrived so that they could visit each restaurant once, and use the breeze bar- even after this they were told they had to pay extra for drinks and their daughter couldn’t have whatever ice cream she wanted!!
A friend who had booked the Barceló in Lanzarote sent me a message whilst we were away asking how the holiday was, when I explained the tier she contacted her travel agent and found that on top of the £6000 she had already paid she would need to pay £1300 more to upgrade - she subsequently cancelled her holiday
The buffet had some weird booking system where each day we had to book a slot at breakfast and dinner, despite the same number of people using the buffet for lunch and no need to book then. The food was at best basic and the children were un-catered for. The breakfast items were reheated for lunch like potatoes, and croissants which were later filled with cheese and ham. Staff were attentive when you sat down serving drinks, but never were we topped up and we had to flag down staff despite the restaurant being quiet- although we were told the hotel was full!
Staff seemed to be very uneducated in the workings of the hotel, when we asked about buses to the water park or timings of the kayaks they didn’t know, the room service staff were efficient but the sheets weren’t changed once and we had to have the same beach towel all week. The ladies toilet by the pool bar had a broken lock all week, the toilet roll dispenser was hanging off the wall and the bins weren’t emptied resulting in paper towels piled up by the bin
The final straw on our last day was when around 200 Spaniards arrived for some sort of meeting, when waiting for a drink in the pool bar they started to pile in being served before us mere holiday makers, blocking the bar and completely ignoring us , it was left to me to raise this with the staff who promptly served me and I was praised by the other clients who like me had been waiting around 20 minutes
This hotel is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, but all inclusive it is not, we won’t be returning to the hotel or the island any time soon.

Hotel Occidental Mar Menor, destrozando el producto, bufet repe cansino, planchas apagadas, encurtidos, ensaladas congeladas.
Te quejas y el che te chulea.
Cocina un desastre, resto de personal muy bien, amabilidad un 10. Recepción Sandra muy bien y el resto muy bien. Personal de salón bien muy amables y serviciales.
Hotel aislado para desconectar habitaciones bien muy amplias, playa mala, todo está lejos, buenas piscinas, viento. De los nietos hay un tren te lleva a Cartagena cada hora, pasando por pueblitos.
La estación de los Nietos está a 4 Km. En verano demasiada calor.
Para descansar en medio de la nada.

Barcelo Margaritas hotel Gran Canaria. It's a reasonable hotel with a strict "Computer says NO" policy. Booked to stay for a fortnight with friends who were going to stay for a week. Didn't realise it had two levels, Standard & Royal. We had booked standard, not knowing that our friends had booked royal. Tried to upgrade at a cost of an extra €700 but were told " Computer says No". They must be flushed with money because turning away €700 just because the computer says no makes zero sense. It's put me right off as there are so many different groups to chose from. And now reading the trust pilot reviews. It is clear that this is a chain that really doesn't care about its reputation. Such a shame. It could have been great

We made a booking with Barcelo Experiences and the took our money, but when we went to the meeting point for the excursion the tour operator had no booking from us. We trier to contact the through Barcelo.com but they have no contact detail for this company.

The hotel ( Barcelo Active Lanzarote) is misleading but still a nice hotel for most. The photos on line of sports and wellbeing are confusing and as I was here with my wife and 88 year old dad I was left disappointed. No spar in a sports active hotel so no indoor pool, hot tub or sauna. No heating in the rooms so at night my dad (88) found it cold and we asked for heating twice but nothing was provided. Not even an additional blanket! It was 16c in the evening which isn’t freezing but cold enough for my dad. I did ask prior to visiting about my dads room being somewhere easy for him to get about but they didn’t reply to that and put him on the 3rd floor where you need to use stairs to get to the lift. When I phoned prior to arriving they said they have another Barcelo not far away with a full spar and a daily charge but they didn’t know the cost and clearly didn’t want to assist in finding out so we hired a car for the week and drove the 10 minutes to the alternative to find it was closed for a refurbishment.
The lift in block 08 is dangerous and has seriously cracked flooring so if you’re not great with lifts or steady on your feet use a different one. Obviously we’re very disappointed and have wasted our money on a holiday that doesn’t cater for our needs but if you’re fit and healthy this is a good hotel and location. Just don’t ask for anything and you won’t be disappointed. Last moan. Champs sports bar is nice but they wouldn’t let me book a table for my 88 year old dad for the football the next day and I said the walk here is difficult for him and having to turn around and go back again would be hard to take but again it’s shrug your shoulders day!
Food is nice.
Just added this. After taking my 88 year old dad to a small pool away from the noise (Breathe) that shows as open on the app. I took photos we were kicked out as it’s closed for winter! The hotel is fully full as they told me they had no alternatives for my dad including upgrades.this is not a friendly hotel and service is not something on offer. We are looking at moving somewhere else now as I can’t take another 5 days of this. Do not come here if you’re elderly. They don’t like you.
