from start to finish i was kept upto date with everything, and when i called they were happy to help.

the installation team were brilliant (sorry do not remember the names feel free to add their names), Scalfolding up in one day, Solar and batteries up in one day installers were nice guys and left the place nice and clean.

its only been in for two days but the after care / support seems really good as well.

We first contacted EDF regarding a quote for a solar installation at our property. Contact Solar are an approved contractor for EDF and quickly made contact with. They were soon able to provide a quote based on our address, property details and a number of pictures of our property. The quote appeared competitive with information we were receiving from other companies and had the backing of EDF with competitive electricity usage rates and export rates. All communication via email and telephone was professional and detailed. The site visit by their engineer was helpful, gave us confidence that they would deliver a quality product and installation. The installation took a few months to complete as we had problems with the mounting board where our electric meter sits, a little frustrating but was sorted in the end. The installation took place on the agreed day, scaffold was erected in advance. One issue we had was our roof tiles are the original ones (90 years old), a number were in poor condition but quite a number were visibly damaged putting the scaffold over the roof. The installation engineers made the company aware of the damage, whilst I was happy to fix these myself (needed scaffold handover) Contact Solar took ownership and had all damaged tiles replaced soon after the installation! All documentation and handover information provided in timely manner. The installation looks professional, all cables managed in trunking and all wiring and switched appear properly installed and secured. Would recommend the company, our contact based in north west UK

I found the team to be very professional and they explained things as they went along.

Very helpful and did the job on time and very efficiently. Took less than an hour to add extra batteries.

Found the company very good at sales and installation but communication very poor for after care. Difficult to get hold of anyone and calls not returned as promised. Two weeks later still unable to understand how set up works. Told links would be sent (not sent) but feel that is a poor way to deal with new customers. Call is available to run through but feel this should have been done earlier this available 3 weeks after installation

Contact Solar (EDF) were one of a number of providers I spoke with and quickly became the outstanding front runners.
Zach worked to deliver a plan and price that worked for us (not one size fits all). Lawrence's detailed and friendly survey revealed opportunities for us to enhance the solution and the team readily investigated those, working with us to come to the optimal plan.
Matt was a very knowledgeable and efficient installer and the office team were always available to answer questions or get around those little hiccup's that occur with any operation. Flexible and efficient, friendly and supportive.

Overall a positive experience so far, we have had 8 solar panels installed and two batteries. The install team were efficient and very tidy taking all their rubbish away. The installation of cables and equipment was very tidy and aesthetically good, they were here at 9.30am and had finished by 1.30. I had a good run through of the system with them, so all good there.

The have been very prompt in responding emails and arranging he appointments for workman to arrive with clear notifications. The document side and contract handover so far has been very smooth and efficient. So overall a very good service.

I gave 4 instead of 5 stars as one grumble i have is that i had to repeat what the surveyor said to their install team, as they were recommending we would have to dig a 1m trench through concrete for cabling in the garage, obviously not something we would want to undertake. I emailed and queried this, and they went back to the surveyor so the cable could be run over the top of a fence and down as previously recommended. Personally I would prefer to speak with someone about the final installation, instead they do rely heavily on emails moving you through separate teams for each stage, which I appreciate is more effective and speedy for a company this size.

After a series of power-cuts my system required a re-set. I am not tech savvy and had concerns I might "mess" things up. The young lady was very helpful, immediately sent me a response email with relevant tutorial and the option of 'phone' assistance. I followed the tutorial which was clear precise and easy to follow thanks to the Tutor. My system works perfectly without issue. I am now confident that if there were an issue help will be to hand. Excellent company, excellent workmanship, excellent system and excellent customer care. Fully recommend this company and EDF

Engaged with Contact Solar through EDF to look for solar solutions. Quick to contact back with a detailed initial requirement check. Then followed G99 application to the DNO, 2-pole isolator installation, survey of the property, and the final requirements. All happy with the process, and all the donkey work carried out by Contact Solar. The initial (up to) 40 days for the G99 application took 5 days. Naturally over the summer they were extremely busy so a couple of deadlines went slightly over, but all sorted in the end. My advice is to just manage your expectations.
Post installation (which took 2 days due safety concerns over working on the roof in blustery conditions) they were highly efficient in processing the documentation with the DNO/EDF to sort out the change to Solar Export tariff. The MCS certificate was issued the day after installation.
A couple of settling-in issues with the kit was solved extremely quickly, and I am up and running. Hopefully the tariff change won't take too long.

Really pleased with my experience with Contact Solar. From the initial quotation through to installation, everyone I dealt with was helpful, professional and happy to answer my questions.

I originally received a few different quotes, but Contact Solar offered a system that suited what I wanted to achieve, and they were willing to work with me to get the setup right. We ended up having 20 × 480W solar panels installed, along with a Sunsynk 7kW inverter and 10.24kWh of battery storage.

There were a couple of delays along the way due to circumstances outside of Contact Solar’s control, but the team kept things moving and ultimately got everything installed and commissioned properly. The installation itself was neat and professional, and I'm very happy with how the system is performing so far.

I've also appreciated the support I've received while getting everything set up and understanding how the solar, batteries and export side of the system work. It's a big investment, so having a company that is willing to answer questions and help along the way makes a real difference.

It's still early days, but so far I'm very happy with the system and with choosing Contact Solar. I'd happily recommend them to anyone considering solar and battery storage.

Delighted with the service from Contact Solar.Problems happen with technology . It’s not that a problem occurs , it’s how it’s dealt with . We had problems with our inverter not retaining settings . After several attempts to sort it out the decision was made to swap out the inverter under warranty . A technician arrived and installed a new inverter . Many thanks to Tom .
