Total rubbish, I cannot believe how complicated and unneccesary the activation process is- and it STILL doesn't work!!!! I feel totally scammed and I am furious to be honest. I want my money refunded.

Cards don't work. Terrible experience.

Managed to activate the cards and have successfully used them a couple of times in B&Q (but only in store). Tried to use the cards online B&Q and in store in sainsburys. PIN accepted as OK but card then declined.

Tried to fill in the query form on their website and it didn't work.

I feel sure they make the whole process as difficult as possible so they can scam. people out of their money. Avoid at all costs

I’ve received a digital Love2shop code but have been unable to redeem it due to a persistent error on the digital rewards site stating “PHP session is not working correctly.”

I’ve tried multiple browsers (Chrome and Edge), devices, and both mobile and desktop modes, but the issue remains the same, which suggests it is a problem with their website rather than user error.

While the code has a long validity period, it’s frustrating not being able to access a reward when intended.

I’ve also seen that others appear to be experiencing similar issues, which raises concerns about the reliability of the platform.

I have contacted customer support and am currently waiting for a resolution. I would expect either a prompt fix to the website or an alternative way to redeem the voucher.

Overall, disappointing experience so far due to technical issues preventing access to a valid reward.

Frustrating! Struggled to spend in shops and unable to register an account to try to redeem for something easier to spend, help chat bot not responding , save yourself and others the frustration and avoid.

Awful. Will not purchase e voucher again. Been in constant contact with you guys for a week and still we have been unable to open and receive the paid for e vouchers.

The only way to redeem a gift voucher that someone else has bought for you is to create an account on their website, and creating an account requires you to give what I personally consider to be an excessive amount of personal data (including your birthday), I do not feel comfortable with this as I never share my personal data with companies, and I've never heard of a company insisting on knowing your birthday before they'll allow you to buy a gift card.

If I walk into M&S or any other shop I can purchase a gift card without anyone even asking me what my name is, so why does Love2Shop ask for name, home address, birthday etc? These are digital gift cards so Love2Shop doesn't have any legitimate reason to need your home address.

This personally made me uncomfortable and I have asked my family to stop purchasing their gift cards from Love2Shop.

Also, I posted this review before, and Love2Shop contacted TrustPilot and blatantly lied that I have never used their website (which I obviously have, why on earth would I make all this up?? I mean I obviously have since I'm telling you exactly what the website says and what the process is for redeeming a voucher, I couldn't possibly know that info unless I'd personally done it, could I) in order to get a negative review removed.

That left a bad taste in my mouth, that Love2Shop tell lies and try to censor customers from being allowed to share their honest opinions about their personal experiences.

Perhaps Love2Shop should spend more time actually doing customer service, and less time monitoring bad reviews and lying to get bad reviews censored.

ETA - having seen James' reply I'd like to ask why they need home addresses? And why DOB, when it would be easy to just have a button saying are you over 18 or under 18?

This gift card is downloaded as a Mastercard. You must pay for the whole purchase with the card. You cannot add to it for a larger purchase. This is not flexible. If you are thinking if using it as a gift voucher I would suggest you either gift cash or use another provider.

Spent an hour trying to get the MasterCard select working on the HMV website.

Checked everything twice tried multiple times. Still doesn't work. Had problems before after receiving this card.

Edit: love to shop advises they had to add my mobile to allow authentic with the HMV website.

Still annoying and not as easy to use as an Amazon voucher, also their website is quite clunky but upgraded from 1 star to 3 due to resolving my issue.

Grace was extremely helpful and polite on the call. She is a credit to the company.

Confusing & frustrating experience trying to use this card. The type gifted to myself was the 'flexecash' gift card. The card has been declined on the M&S website on multiple occasions. Would not recommend.

Absolutely terrible . This card is a nightmare. I will never gift it to anyone and hope no one else gifts it to me . You just can't do anything with it , spending hours just trying to activate and still doesn't work in the shops . Absolute qaate of time and money. Avoid at al costs

cant use the card. wont work in the shop the app doesnt work in browser just white screen when u try to acctivate it absolutely useless

I would give it 0 stars if I could. This is the worst gift card I've ever come across. Got a physical card as a birthday gift from family and 6 months later still can't spend it. Shops don't accept it, you need to change it to "buy" another shop's gift card, but this is impossible. Their online system is so complicated and does not recognise my card number, shows an error, getting in touch is a nightmare, they only work Mon-Fri, when everyone else works... STAY AWAY!! Do not buy this...

Gifted a voucher from my employer. Issue with code means it's impossible to redeem online. No resolution despite countless emails to their Customer Services team, they just pass the buck to the retailer who says it's nothing to do with them. Terrible experience.

It's harder and harder to use this card. I work for a great company that gives love2shop vouchers for birthdays. I have £500 in my account and wanted to use it against the cost of a laptop, thinking I could pay the difference. You cannot do that unless you go to the shop. I went off the Currys, they tried to use their machine but apparently it doesn't work with my card type. Today, I tried to log in to my account to use my card for something else only to be informed I needed to create a new account because I hadn't logged in since 15th April. I did that only to find the £500 is now now attached to this account. I tried to use their chatbot to get help - not working. I tried their contact us email form and again - not working. Waste of time. Completely frustrating.
EDIT: 27/04/26 I see Lovetoshop have replied but completely ignored the fact that my money is no longer in my account!

I did find the card confusing as to what stores I could use. Fortunately my hubby managed to find what stores. I do think that a list of stores should be provided when a card is purchased.

I got a Love2shop gift card worth circa £125. I registered the card and checked all the numerous outlets where it could be used. I decided to purchase online a single mens stud earring from Chapelle, who are also associated with F Hinds jewellers. When I got to the point of paying I put in every possible combination of the numbers on the card, only to find none of them worked!
Not to be beaten by this I drove the 15 miles to my nearest store in Spalding. I saw the earring, and at the same time my wife saw another stud which she wanted me to buy. These purchases took the total close to the full value of my gift card. When it came to paying, and after explaining the problems I had experienced the day before, the same situation happened! I was asked if I could leave the matter with them, as they needed to call head office, and we agreed to go and get some lunch. On our return some time later they said that they would try again whilst they were talking to their head office. After several attempts still nothing happened, and all of this was after speaking with Love2shop HQ!

What is the point of them advertising all these shops if the card doesn’t? I had to use my own bank card in order to complete the transaction, although I was in half the mind to say stuff it!

I’m not blaming the ladies in Chapelle, they tried their best to help, and that’s the reason I paid in full with my bank card. The blame lies with Love2shop, I certainly won’t be gifting any of their cards to my family, or friends.

I had a problem with codes unsure which had registered and which had not. Leah was so helpful and found out all the information I needed to claim my vouchers. Cheerful, helpful and quick. Thank you.
