Got a blow out in the A737 Glasgow to Dalry road managed to take over a bus stop and tyre fitter was there as soon as he possibly could which was very quick , (within 40 minutes) ten minutes and I was back on the road as normal. Lad was very chatty and professional in his work . Very much appreciated, thank you.

Called rescuemate to replace a flat tyre at my home address.
Agreed a price, and was told once the fee £289 was paid, the job would be booked in, with a 60 - 90 min window.
Never turned up, called them after two hours, and was told the driver had issues with his van, and they can't do the job.
Said i lived in a nightmare area for them, and they had to send a Scotsman !!! I live in the Scottish borders 1/2 mile from cumbrian border!!

I was told they'd have to refund me, which I agreed, and also asked for proof of the refund, NEVER has been refunded, and given spurious excuses, like it takes an hour or two, to will be there in the morning, until definitely be there Monday, to oh it takes several days.
From the 25th Oct 24 to 29th October 24, still no refund!!
Now referred to my credit card American Express to go after this company.
PLEASE think long and hard BEFORE using this company!!!

Update :) As of the 30th of October, still no refund!! Instead got a text saying they were happy to have help me with my recent emergency, and how would I rate them!!! Seriously FFS, this company is a joke!!

Very dodgy service. They outsource work which is no problem but that is not what was advertised. I requested urgent jump start to which they quoted £129 which was fine but I asked can it be done before a specific time which they said okay to.

I wait over an hour and no response. They don’t call or anything. Dodgy voice note message. Then they gave me a random guys number (clearly outsourced) and he said he was told he has ages to come and not within time frame.

Only then I contacted to cancel with rescue mate. Then finally a call over an hour after. Very dodgy company. Seen reviews here saying they threaten to take off. Same on phone. Very dodgy company, very unprofessional and rude.

Keep your money away from these lot and keep well clear.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They arrived within 2 hours to jump start the car (I appreciate they had to travel some distance during rush hour), the technician also made sure everything was working correctly before offering advice going forward and sending me on my way.

Organised for a new battery to be fitted at 6.30pm, advised i would not be in until that time. Turned up at 5.30pm, told fitter not in til 6.30pm. He goes away and never comes back to fit the battery, tried to contact and fitter blame rescue mate, rescue mate blame fitter. Asked for refund to be told this was happening by MATTHEW, i have evidence that they accept it was 6.30pm and refund happening. He then calls me and incredibly rude and unprofessional stating that its my issue and i won't get full refund, he then hung up on me!
Stay away from this company and use a mainstream service who wont treat customers like this.

This company is worth its weight in gold ! The process was easy ! Just phoned got a quote and they sent the fitter . The fitter was courteous and a credit to the company. I recommend this company to anyone that’s in a tight spot and will definitely use them again .

Fantastic service, Matthew was extremely helpful. 90 minutes was taken to complete the whole job. Would highly recommend the service. Was in high stress at the side of the road and they dealt with the situation professionally.

I was looking for 2 new tyres to be fitted today and paid £279. I received the receipt and seen that was for one tyre. I cancelled immediately and requested a refund. They refunded £160 keeping £119 for them doing absolutely nothing. Absolute con. I’ll now have to go through my bank to get my money that they have effectively stolen from me. I’m currently waiting on Kwick Fit coming to my house to fit 2 tyres for £222. Wish I had found them first.

Update: RescueMate phoned me demanding an explanation for my review. Not a good look phoning people up and trying to intimidate them into taking a review down. You have no right to use my phone number for this. Then, you reply to my review with complete and utter nonsense. Please share these recordings you have. You can’t, because you’re lying. I’m utterly disgusted with the nonexistent professionalism and your bullying nature. I do want my money back. Funnily enough, I don’t like paying for a service I did not receive. To come on the phone telling me you were going to give me my money back but not anymore because of my review is a disgrace. I cancelled within 3 mins and I have the proof of that!

Stay away from RescueMate! They will ask to collect upfront fees for a service you haven't asked for, stating they will return the difference in case you do not need the service and guess what, they never return any difference. Nothing can make them return your hard earned money for a good or service you didn't need eventually. I called them for a roadside flat tire, asked them to come fix the puncture and they requested that I authorise the entire amount necessary for a new tire plus the intervention, on the promise that in case a new tire is not needed and the puncture can be repaired, they will refund the difference. Was told the wait time is 1 hour, the technician came 2 hours later, with no foam to be able to check where the puncture was, therefore no intention to actually fix the puncture. He insisted that I change the tire to which I refused. I provided a foamy water for him to be able to identify the puncture which was then fixed. He took pictures of the vehicle and left. Although they should have made a refund for the cost of the new tire which was not installed on my vehicle, after several calls and emails, to this day I still haven't received my refunded difference. They are pure scammers, so please stay away.

Bit of confusion going on, contacted rescue mate for a replacement tyre fitting, paid for my tyre, recieved a call to say they were stuck on leeds ring road, got another call from another guy to say they were on the way, Luke from beecrofts tyres came and changed the tyre and left.
I then got another call from the other guy to say he was outside, I explained to him that he had already been and I was asked if he had charged me, I said not because I'd already paid via bank transfer....
Needless to say the job was gone through rescue mate. And the job done to a satisfactory standard.

I don’t even want to award one star to this company. Absolute scammers. Despite me calling them back twice to confirm they would provide a like for like premium tyre for my flat one, a cheap imported tyre was fitted retailing at £35. I was charged £240 for this. It wasn’t fitted until late in the afternoon after reporting it at 7am. Dealing with them afterwards got worse. They threaten you with legal stuff etc. I got my bank involved and eventually the bank fully refunded the cost back to me. Next time I’ll just use my local dealer. It would have been quicker and much less stressful. How they are still in business is beyond me.

I feel compelled to write an excellent review for this company. The guy answering the phone was very patient and helpful, and together we established my exact position, tyres needed and approx. Arrival time. I was away from home so was very pleased when the mechanic arrived within 45 mins. He was super quick and efficient, friendly and polite. Job done! I would certainly use them again.

Replacement Battery. The whole process was very easy. I have a 2014 Porsche Cayenne and the battery is located under the seat. Not a simple job but the agent that attended was really helpful and got the job done. Reasonable price for coming right to your door for fitting too. Definitely recommend.

Very quick to take your money, very slow to provide the service.

Extremely expensive and poor customer service, but the job did get done albeit a lot later than was promised.

I had a blow out, typical that it was late on a thursday, the next day i made contact and was updated throughout, fitter turned up early and was professional and polite.
Yes you do pay more for convenience but they had me back on the road quickly and efficiently.

Flat tyre in a different town to where I live, spoke to Matthew, who was clear and precise on the process.

Updated me through out and was sorted within 2 hours and back on the road.

Had a slow puncture and needed it doing at work to save me time . Friendly service , it took about 2hours from phone call to get job done which was ok as I was at work anyway . The guy who came was excellent and did a nice job .

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!

They made my boyfriend pay upfront before they had visited his van and never completed the job and have taken part of the money . He has written a review and they are now saying they are taking legal action for him telling the truth !!

I would highly recommend stay as far away from this company as you possibly can .
I had a flat tyre and lost my lock and wheel nut rescue mate called me after I used there website to request a fitter saying they can get a fitter out asap so I paid £269.99 over the phone this included lock and wheel nut removal and a new tyre .
Anyway there fitter got to my van looked at it for no longer than 30 seconds and told me he wasn’t experienced enough to get that lock and wheel nut of another fitter will have to come . No fitter arrived so I called the rescue mate office and was told they couldn’t do it . as they couldn’t do it I asked for a refund I looked in my bank a few days later and only £170 was paid back so I emailed again and they said they will send the rest … anyways looked in my bank again only £40 had been refunded … I then emailed rescue mate and they said that I was eligible to pay there call out fee as there fitter still attended the tyre . I would have had no problem paying the call out fee but the fitter never even attempted to remove my lock and wheel but I emailed again and then they completely blanked me and never was replying to my email.

Avoid this company at all cost there customer service is absolutely diabolical and they are scamming people for money !!!

Also I will not be black mailed into removing this post when you’ve put me out of pocket and this is not false . £170 was refunded and £40 was refunded if you read correctly . I am still out of pocket for £69.99 when your fitter didn’t do anything !
