Great service got us going again after getting a flat tyre half way home from a week holiday. Really friendly guy helped and although it was nearly a 2 hour wait we were so grateful Thanks

Excellent service. Called out at 8.30pm. Fitter arrived at 9.45pm. Tyre replaced and all set for my journey tomorrow.

I don't know about their tyre services but they were prompt, swift informative and delightfully courteous when they came to change my car battery, a couple of weeks ago!!

Had a burst tyre a few weeks ago and contacted rescue mate for help. They deployed someone to come fix it really quick (within an hour and it was a Sunday). However when the driver arrived he explained that we were foolish to have used this company and gave us the number of another that would have been £100 cheaper. Then a few weeks later I get added to a chat about my experience therefore sharing my number with 57 other people in quite a large GDPR Breach that I will be reporting to the regulator. Matthew did not care about this GDPR breach and said that I just needed to block the numbers. I will also name him in my report.

Great experience, great communication, these guys are the best,without question!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!!

Avoid RescueMate at all costs. Hideously expensive and atrocious customer service. Honestly, words cannot express how dreadful they are. And if you find yourself speaking to someone called Stuart, just hang up and save yourself precious time and money.

We had a blow out on one of our tyres and my husband called rescue mate to put our spare tyre on.
We were initially told that we had a short wait time that extended to over 3.5 hours.
We were charged for equipment that was not required in addition to the 200 call out fee that we were told was payable in advance. We had our own tyre so in total we paid 230 for somebody to put our spare on. The business repeatedly lied about where the engineer was.
The job was subcontracted to a local firm who were not notified of the job for 3 hours, leaving us stranded with our children in quite considerable heat.
We have now tried to make a complaint and have had no response. We will be contacting the ombudsman should we need to take this further.
Please do not use rescue mate.

I had a terrible experience with Rescue Mate. I contacted them for a simple tyre replacement on my caravan, and they charged me £229.98 upfront, including £29.99 for equipment that was not needed. They promised to send someone within 60 to 90 minutes, but no one showed up until 3.5 hours later, after multiple calls and messages. The technician who arrived was from a different company and said he was paid only £50. The service was unprofessional, delayed, and overpriced. They caused a lot of distress to my family on a hot day. To make matters worse, I struggled to reach anyone in the business with very little contact details online. I do not recommend them at all and I am seeking a refund and an apology.

Avoid this company at all costs.

I had a blow out of a tyre, rang them at 8.48am, told them my location and was advised there was an engineer local to me and would be out within 30 minutes (and he would ring me 10 mins before he arrived). I was asked to pay £259 up front for this service. 45 minutes past, I tried calling back to find out where this engineer was, to be told he’d ring me. The man on the phone was incredibly rude and could not get me off the phone quicker. A further 15 minutes past, I rang back and was told the engineer was stuck at another job and would be on his way soon.

Firstly I was told the engineer was on his way, yet an hour later was told sorry the engineer is stuck on a job and will be with you soon. By this point my partner had turned up and advised we could sort this ourselves (he’d take the tyre off and go and get it changed and refit it himself).

I rang the company back to advise I no longer required their service to which the man on the phone became very aggressive and intimidating towards me, my partner overheard this whole conversation so no denying it happened. I was shouted at and told you cannot cancel after 10 minutes….not once was I told this.

The company lie to you to get your money then refuse a refund. I told them I would be going through my credit card company to receive a refund as I had not received goods I had paid for and he became even more threatening.

Avoid them at all costs! I went to a local friendly garage and got a tyre replaced for £35, as opposed to the £265 they wanted to charge me.

The service of the Rescue Mate is absolutely fantastic. Its only delays in invoice processing time but overally they provide fantastic service

It’s expensive for what it is. On google reviews and Trustpilot, people are complaining of the cost. Here’s why:

£20 tyre Labour
£79.99 tyre with warranty
VAT @ 20%
Total is £239.99
Please do not use. Alternative companies will come out for £120 and include all this in their cost.

The service was excellent

Got a flat tyre on a dual carriageway, managed to pull into a layby and sent a request for a quote through the form on the website. Received a call 10 minutes later, after discussing the relevant details the options and costs were explained to me. I was advised it would take 60 - 90 minutes for the fitter to arrive. 15 minutes later the fitter was with me, he was friendly and helpful and he replaced my tyre. From my initial completion of the form to my tyre being replaced it took a total of 50 minutes. Yes the cost is higher than using a local garage but I paid for a emergency call out service at 6pm on a Saturday evening and I am very happy with the service I received.

This company did not respond to the information added to their online form even though their website states ‘Rapid response under an hour’.

Please note before I continue the legal definition of defamation:

"the action of damaging the reputation of a person or group by saying or writing bad things about them that are not true"

Now that I have said that, here is a true account of what happened.

I called as I needed a tyre. I was quoted a very steep price but I needed the tyre. (They offer payment plans via Bumper but they don't tell you that on the phone.) So without a payment plan I am out a lot of money in one go.

I was told how long it would be (60 - 90 minutes). I waited 2 hours and had nothing so I called and was told that the driver was on his way to me and they would yet him to call me. They did not do this.

At 3 hours I called several times to no reply. I am aware the guys finish at 4pm on a Saturday but this was well before then. I have the call logs with the times and unanswered calls to back it up.

The tyre man arrived 3.5 hours after I called and lo and behold, it's a local mobile tyre fitter. Not anything RescueMate branded. He was lovely I have no issues with him. But I did take his business name down and will use him again in the future directly.

Because I have a tyre on my car now that costs between £50 - 60 if you google it. I paid £249. So I've paid £199 for a 3rd party to hire a mobile tyre fitter for me.

They do not market themselves as a third party go-between, but they are. At least in my area.

I've sent an email which I imagine will be ignored. I'm sure Trading Standards will find it very interesting though.

This is the second time that I applied for Rescue Mate services and I am glad they are keeping their professional work.
The operator provided me all information very quickly and professionally and the replacement of the tire was very quick and I was back on the road. Thank you.

Great company! Really helped me out of a pickle.
I found the website a tiny bit confusing at first to request a call back, but as soon as I’d figured it out I got a call immediately.

The chap on the phone was super helpful and got me the service I needed in a quick time. Not quite the “drive away in an hour” as the site suggested, but very close. 1hr 15 mins

There a period where the guy didn’t get back to me for a while, but that was because he was trying to source a tire for my vehicle. Would have been nice to have a bit more info during that period.

Overall a very good experience, if not a tad pricy. I will use these again if I’m ever unfortunate enough to need their help.

Difficult tyre to get hold of, rang round and they found one with a few hours (on a weekend aswell).
The fitter(Gary) was a great lad, called me when he was on his way WITH ETA, and didn't complain when putting wheel back on which I could see was a pain.

Very easy to use website. Was called back within 5 minutes. Clear discussion about the problem and able to arrange someone to come along within the hour.
All options clearly discussed and pricing made very clear and upfront. This was on a Saturday morning.
Was kept in contact whilst waiting. Very timely fix and all sorted out while keeping safe.
I would highly recommend and use again in future if I needed to.
