My Worst Furniture Purchase Experience – Why I Regret Buying a Wakefit Bed
Buying this bed has been one of my biggest purchasing regrets. I hope sharing my experience helps others make an informed decision before buying.
1. Poor Customer Support for an Immediate Exchange Request
I accidentally ordered the wrong bed size. As soon as the bed was delivered, I realized the mistake and raised an exchange request on the very same day. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response for around 10 days. When the customer support team finally replied, they informed me that they could not exchange the bed because the 10-day replacement window had already expired.
It was disappointing because the delay was from their side, yet I was denied the exchange based on the elapsed time.
2. Extremely Difficult and Expensive to Relocate
I am now relocating to another home and contacted several packers and movers to shift the bed.
Most of them informed me that they either could not dismantle and reassemble the bed or would charge an additional ₹2,000–₹3,000 because its assembly mechanism is different from conventional beds that use nuts and bolts.
When I contacted Wakefit customer support for assistance, I was told that they do not provide dismantling or reinstallation services for relocation. I was also informed that if the bed gets damaged during dismantling or moving, such damage would not be covered under the warranty.
This means customers are left to manage the relocation on their own, often at additional cost, risk, and no warranty coverage.
3. Limited Serviceability
In my experience, the bed's construction is quite different from traditional wooden beds commonly available in India. Local carpenters were unfamiliar with the locking mechanism and were reluctant to work on it.
If a product requires a specialized assembly system, I believe the manufacturer should also offer affordable paid dismantling and reassembly services to support customers who relocate.
4. Build Quality
Personally, I found the overall build quality and sturdiness to be below my expectations when compared with conventional beds assembled using nuts and bolts by local manufacturers or experienced carpenters.
5. Hidden Long-Term Cost
Although the purchase price may initially seem attractive, I believe the long-term ownership cost can be much higher due to relocation challenges, additional moving charges, and limited-service options.
These are factors I was not aware of before making the purchase.

Final Thoughts
If you frequently relocate or expect to move in the future, I strongly recommend considering these points before purchasing this type of bed.
My experience has been frustrating from the exchange process to the relocation challenges. If I had known about these limitations beforehand, I would have chosen a traditional bed that is easier to dismantle, transport, and reassemble.

I hope Wakefit improves its customer support by offering affordable dismantling and reinstallation services, especially for customers who need to relocate. Such a service would significantly improve the ownership experience.

Calibrated mattress .

Extremely disappointing experience with Wakefit. One office chair - a basic order - and yet Wakefit has failed to deliver it even after almost 20 days. The worst part is not just the delay; it is the complete lack of accountability. Delivery dates are changed repeatedly with no proper explanation, no ownership, and no genuine effort to resolve the issue. Every time there is a new promise, but no actual action.

Trying to reach customer support is another frustrating experience - calls remain unanswered or lines are constantly busy. A company that cannot handle basic customer service after taking an order seriously needs to rethink its entire support system.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise people to think twice before purchasing from Wakefit. Please do proper research before spending your hard-earned money, because a smooth buying experience means nothing if the company fails when customers actually need support.

Most unreliable unorganised company ....show roof more of fraudant approach given worng commitment for delivery after taking 100 percnet money......initial 7 days delivery then 12 dags then 20 days....it's all useless ....mentality

Extremely disappointed with my experience with Wakefit. If there is 0 star i would give that.

I ordered a custom mattress (on June 7) because I trusted their commitment to local manufacturing and timely delivery. Instead, the delivery was postponed five times, causing significant inconvenience.

To make matters worse, my order has now been marked as "Delivered", even though I have not received the mattress.

I sent a detailed email to Wakefit seeking an explanation.There has been no response to my email, and despite assurances of callbacks from customer support, no one has contacted me to resolve the issue.

This is not just about a delayed delivery anymore. It is about accountability, transparency, and basic customer service. If Wakefit claims the order has been delivered, they should be able to provide proof of delivery immediately.

I request Wakefit to investigate this matter, share the proof of delivery, and resolve this issue without any further delay. If I do not receive a prompt resolution, I will be escalating the matter through the National Consumer Helpline

I hope no other customer has to go through a similar experience.

The calibr8 feature is the one I liked much. Store staff demonstrated the product in understandable way.

Worst service as a small coffee table has come defective still they refuse to initiate refund as well as no proper response since 2 mnts ..Policy is that no refund even if defective keep what we give 😡

Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. My ₹5,000 was deducted for a failed order and I've been chasing the refund for weeks. Every time I contact them, it's the same "wait another 24–48 hours" story. I've lost count of how many times I've heard that. Nobody gives a straight answer, nobody knows what's going on, and the refund is still not here. Never trusting these frauds again.

Very bad experience with Wakefit. We bought a ₹57,000 cot, and the hydraulic part broke within 10 days.

Despite multiple complaints, customer support has not responded. The cot is unusable, and we are sleeping on the floor with small kid's.

Please resolve this issue urgently

It's really good. Comfy. Initially we had back pain while sleeping on it. But now after a month later nothing of that sort. In fact I get better sleep on it.

Worst of all time. Took a month to delivery. And very arrogant delivery person. He was demanding extra cash for delivering it too. Customer service is a dumb team. They have answer to nothing. All they have to say is " sorry for your inconvenience". Don't waste your money in this mattress and you'll regret taking that decision.

No issues on the quality. Everything seems fine.

Don't buy any products in wakefit. I just brought one chair on June 7 initially promised you will get your june 16 definitely. But still now I didn't get product. In customer service no proper response simply said please wait...

Good and comfortable

Mattress is Really great. It has reduced my chronic back pain. I will rate 1000 in 100. Pillows are good too.
