Based on good reviews, I went on Gravity Lending's site to check rates for an auto refinance, trusting (from the reviews) that they would only do an initial soft credit pull unless and until we chose to move forward with a particular lender. To my dismay, a hard credit pull was put on my husband’s credit report with a company I had never even heard of, certainly not authorized. Everyone is passing the buck, Gravity Lending, Experian and Anderson FCU (the lender). According to Gravity Lending, there is a box at the bottom of the page that AUTOMATICALLY authorizes a hard credit check if you DON’T check it (i.e., they don’t ask you to authorize a hard credit pull, they just go ahead and do it UNLESS you check the box). So you can technically get the rates with just a soft credit pull, but don't expect them to spell it out. Who would opt for a hard credit pull before even seeing the rates? I certainly did not expect this and I have never had this problem with any other website that compares rates. I think this practice on their part is shady and should be illegal.

Troy T. was extremely detailed and helpful. He made sure I understood everything about the refinancing. He was kind and courteous as well. If I ever need help again he will most DEFINITELY the one I will be calling!!
