Beware don't go here
Beware don't go here if you do find a new provider. No communication, you can never speak with the facility you go to, supposed to provide onsite blood tests and other perks but never does, RUDE people you have to speak with to maybe get a call from the doctor which rarely happens. Currently looking for new place for my 83 year old mom afraid if we stay here they will kill her due to care being nonexistent.
Absolutely horrendous
Absolutely horrendous! Prescribed meds they never ok with your pharmacy and new medication that’s never called in either. I changed from Novant to this provider a year ago and regret it. I will be changing again next week.
I would give 0 stars if I could
I would give 0 stars if I could! I tried using the pay per visit on Amazon to get an antibiotic. I did not receive my call at all. But 2 hrs and 40 mins later I received a message from the CNP. It was completely medically inaccurate. I am unsure if she really was a CNP. She told me in a message she could not help me and to go to a doctor. She cancelled my visit. It said I was not charged. I will say I am a nurse of 17 years. In healthcare for 25 years. I normally adore amazon, but this is the biggest SCAM WASTE OF TIME I have ever seen! I will say the "medical reasons'she gave for not assisting me were completely wrong and inaccurate for the reason I was calling. The wait time was also unexceptable. I will say I never had any of theses problems with Teledoc. I recommend everyone to use it instead. It is a legit medical service. I called them right after this it took 15 min to speak to a CNP and my antibiotic script was sent to my pharmacy. WARNING! THIS IS A MEDICAL SCAM! USE TELEDOC IF YOU ARE NEEDING NON EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE!
Centralized scheduling completely fails…
Centralized scheduling completely fails with very long hold times, no follow through, and appointments not honored.
I am a senior that has used IORA for 4 years and Amazon has ruined all aspects except my physician. If he leaves, I’m done.
Large Extremely Expensive Suprize Bill
$535 dollar bill out-of-pocket for a 25min verbal conversation. No warning that I would even being charged at all, and they said they would send it to a debt collector if not paid in two months. Absolutely no respect for patients. Disgusting.
NO Prescription Refills
This service is a joke if you're looking for regular prescription refills. They will give you a "bridge" refill but you need to "see your regular provider" for anything more than that. I'll stick with Push Health. Much more expensive but no BS.
They used to be good before Amazon
They used to be good before Amazon. Last few appointments the doctors just seemed confused (these were MDs!) and grasping at straws - they told me basically wait and see. One was when I couldn’t keep food/water down for 2 days, if it’s still persisting in a week to come in (too bad depriving my body of food / water for 9 days would probably kill me). Another told me to stop taking a medication and get a Covid test (I have no Covid symptoms). And a third, after a weeklong low grade fever, told me to buy a new thermometer. I can’t remember the last time I walked away from an appointment not feeling more confused, frustrated and ripped off. Did any of these people actually study medicine?? Because I’m not convinced.
They get 2 stars bc they generally refill my Rx’s on time.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. This is just a greedy corporation capitalizing on the already horrific medical institution in this country, and making it worse. Do not give Amazon any more of your money.
Amazon has ruined this business
The staff is nice, and they seem to care. But my God. Amazon has ruined this business. They USED to get bloodwork done at one of the major hospitals, and you would get your results back immediately, and sometimes the same day. But since Jeff got his paws on them, we’re stuck with Lab Corp. Good luck getting your labs back in a week or at all. I had a physical on the 8th. They came back on the 17th, and according to the labs(well, the ones that ACTUALLY came back) - I was in rough shape and needed to go to the hospital immediately. Only to be told I was fine. Went back to OM for more tests on the 19th, and today(24th) found out I need to repeat something again. Not going back there - unless it’s thru an actual hospital. I no longer trust their phlebotomists OR Lab Corp. Bezos blew it big time with the OM purchase, and he’s managed to ruin something that was working perfectly fine before he came out.
Do not waste your money on One Medical
Do not waste your money on One Medical. This service is inept and absolutely horrible. They advertise that you can text them, but they don't respond. If they do, they simply tell you, "Oh, sorry, we can't help you. You should go see one of our locations," which, in my case, is over 100 miles away. That's not an option, so I opted for a virtual visit.
During the virtual calls, the so-called medical professionals I spoke with could not have been less helpful. Each one told me, "Sorry you feel bad, but I can't do anything for you." They make you go through the pre-call routine of filling out your history and symptoms, but it doesn't matter because they won't help you.
I have a simple chest infection with a cough. I asked for prescription cough medicine and something to help with the symptoms so I could rest. I talked to six different people, and each one said, "No, we can't help you. Go see a doctor." Why should anyone pay for a service like this if they don't provide any actual service?
I'll tell you what, Amazon, you can add me to the list of medical professionals. I can tell people "no" just as easily as One Medical does, and I'll only charge eight bucks a month. Better yet, Venmo me five bucks, and I'll tell you "no" right now.
One Medical is a complete waste of money and time. Avoid it at all cost!
Since Amazon took over One Medical
Since Amazon took over One Medical, the quality of care has gone downhill. Stay out of the healthcare business, Amazon! You have put way too many restrictions on doctors, limiting how much time a doctor or nurse practitioner can spend with a patient! Tell me how being forced to call a call center to make an appointment and not being allowed to call the office directly is good business practice. For who? And what's with this monthly fee for a membership to use One Medical services? Bye, bye One Medical.
Same headaches as normal doctors except there's also a dumb app run by dumb people
It's a medical professionals, seemed incredibly genuine and were a pleasure to work with. However, the business side of the house is total garbage. Steaming hot garbage. My membership was at the discounted monthly rate for being an Amazon prime member. The renewal date was the 14th of every month. Sometime on the 28th or so of the previous month, I had fraudulent charges on my credit card so I had it canceled it a new one sent. I guess I forgot to change the billing method for one medical. Needless to say, they try to put the monthly charge on one time and it was obviously rejected since that card no longer existed. Did they call me ? Did they email me? Did they send me a notification via the app? Nope! These dumb dumbs canceled my account instead!!! I got that email about these morons canceling my account. I updated my credit card and Amazon and the $9.99 charge was immediately put on my account. However, the terrible app never received that information apparently because it would still show as you need to renew your membership. On top of that, they want to try and charge me the non-prime member price of $200 a year even though I sent them multiple screenshots showing that I already have an account at $9.99 a month with the option to purchase a full year at $99. Somehow, this medical company doesn't answer emails or questions on the weekends. This is still Amazon and they treat your health with the same respect. They treat a $4 mug you bought from an unknown Chinese company that has seven letters and no vowels. Stay away at all costs.
In my opinion this is a SCAM
In my opinion this is a SCAM! Stay way from them and Amazon. I feel completely miss lead and I can’t believe Amazon would lend their name to this. Run, drive, and get as far as you can from this company. After I talked to their billing people they even indicated that lots of people felt scammed.
If you cancel the membership which is a total nonsense and they send you a message you can’t reply unless you resubscribe. What a joke.. please please please take your business else where.
If you pay the monthly fee they still…
If you pay the monthly fee they still bill you. I got a bill for over $400 even though I am on medicare with a medicare supplement. The first time I got the bill I called them and gave them my insurance information, but now a month later they are still trying to get the $400.00. On their website it says no payments are due over my deductible. That is obviously not true.
Just another way for Amazon and another…
Just another way for Amazon and another 3rd to acquire your personal information. This is unnecessary because they don’t actually pay for anything they just provide you with connections to online doctors that your current insurance company already provides.
Don’t be fooled!! This is a personal information gathering for the purposes of selling you more services and sending your info to other 3rd parties.
Incompetent and uncaring it seems
One Medical seems really incompetent and unhelpful.
My first appointment was cancelled the day off after weeks of waiting for it because "sorry, in person visits are cancelled for memorial day": my appointment was remote.
That one time I saw them was to review my chronic disease as a new patient, the doctor told me i could send my past health changes in message so they can review them. I sent it to them over 6 weeks ago and have been completely ignored or told by staff I need to make another appointment for the doctor to reply! I literally JUST saw that doc about this issue in a 10 min remote call and they want to charge me for a second appointment just to review that note they said I could send?
Supposedly you can message the doctors themselves but only the unhelpful staff replies and this whole thing looks like a scam when you see all the reviews of people being overcharged for visits and how they are trying to force another visit for my very basic request.
It's sad because this company seemed to be pretty good when I went some 7 years ago.
365 day time limit, where's the doctor?
not having an appointment before 365 days had passed since last appointment I was kick out of one medical and must apply as a new paitient and wait several months to be seen again. only time I saw the doctor at this location was his picture on the website. you'd think after three years I would have least heard his vioce in the hallway. going to multicare where I have more time on the files as an active patient.
Poor Medical Care
I had been a patient of One Medical and its predecessors in Arizona for a number of years. This practice has been sold a number of times over the years and each time a new owner takes over, the quality-of-care declines. Amazon now owns this medical practice and as a result, One Medical is by a large margin the worst primary care provider I have ever had.
One Medical used to provide rides to medical appointments for its patients who could not drive. Not anymore.
One Medical had people at the local offices to answer phone and make appointments that knew the patients. Not anymore.
I could not get treatment for my blood pressure at the office I had been seen as a patient for a number of years in Sun City West. A practitioner at this location refused to try different medications to control by blood pressure and let my pressure remain high. I had to go to a different provider to get BP meds that worked for my condition. Additionally, they refused to renew another maintenance medication that I had taken for six years.
There are probably 50 Cardiologists within a 5-mile radius of the Meeker Office in Sun City West, yet One Medical directed me to a cardiology firm halfway across the country to do tele health conferences. The stupidity and inconvenience of this is self-evident. A cardiologist must see a patient to give proper care and counsel. I don’t even know if the remote cardiologist I was referred to by One Medical is licensed to practice medicine in Arizona. It is obvious to me that Amazon is making money from this somehow at the expense of patient care. Otherwise, it would have worked with a local cardiology practice for referrals.
There have been frequent changes in medical personnel at the Meeker office; something which I have never witnessed in other Doctor’s offices. The revolving door makes me feel that there is no continuity of care which is completely different than the case with all other primary care providers I have had in the past.
Based on my experience, I believe that Amazon has neither the competence nor compassion required to operate a medical practice. It appears to me that Amazon is merely attempting to squeeze maximum profits from insurance and people that trusted them for their medical care. These profit motivated actions are being done without regard to patient comfort, satisfaction, and in some cases, they provide less than a minimum level of care.
Amazon may be a genius at selling socks and underwear to the masses, but my opinion is that this company is a complete failure at running a medical practice.
My recommendation to anyone considering using One Medical as your primary care provider is to GO ELSEWHERE!

Review:
I recently had a disappointing experience with One Medical's billing practices. I was charged $220 for a phone consultation that lasted only 10 minutes and provided no meaningful assistance. During the call, the doctor repeatedly mentioned that he couldn't effectively help me over the phone and recommended an in-person visit instead. This raised the question of why the phone consultation was scheduled in the first place if it wasn't suitable for addressing my concerns.
To resolve my health issues, I had to schedule an in-person visit with a different doctor just two days later, incurring another $220 charge. Essentially, I paid $440 for a single issue because the phone consultation was ineffective.
I disputed the $220 phone consultation charge, explaining the situation and requesting a waiver. Unfortunately, One Medical insisted that the charge was applied correctly according to their policies. They offered a payment plan and financial assistance program, but these solutions don't address the fundamental issue of being charged for an unhelpful consultation.
As a patient, I feel that One Medical's billing practices in this case were unfair and did not prioritize patient satisfaction. I hope they reconsider their approach to ensure that patients are not charged for services that do not provide any real value.

Unhelpful and misleading
I tried to take my son for a physical. Set the appt up, and it was a week out. We drove an hour to the location, checked in, had our insurance verified, only to have the office manager greet us to tell us the app has a glitch and doesn’t seem to screen to ensure the provider is licensed to see a particular demographic. I attempted to reach out to one medical. I told them the situation and asked when this will be fixed (the glitch) as I took off work and this is time sensitive. They were not helpful and said they weren’t sure what needed to be fixed.
