Pop telecom seemed like a great deal. £23 a month, I ordered it and was excited to finally have wifi in my home. They didnt tell me when the installation date would be so I hopped onto a live chat with a rep to find out when it would be. After giving them my details they asked me one question, are you a student? I thought this was strange but simply replied yes. When I said I was a student they said I was not allowed this plan anymore and instead I would have to pay £39.99 a month plus a £100 start up fee for LESS MBS. This is literal discrimination, students usually get discounts, but how can I not get a deal because I am a student, thats not right. If a deal is available why does it matter who gets it, the fact that they are making students pay almost double the price a month for a worse connection is day light robbery. I personally think they are trying to extort students because they think they will just sign up and agree to pay whatever. So IF YOU ARE A STUDENT DONT SIGN UP TO THIS BROADBAND, also dont sign up if you appreciate honest and clear broadband because I doubt that is what you will receive.

Although I've had many issues with POPtelecom and wouldn't recommend them, Josie has been so helpful in assisting me to resolve these issues. Fabulous, clear communication and she really took her time to talk me through things and now for the first time in 2.5 months I have working WIFI!! Thank you Josie

Having a great deal of trouble regarding the Openreach copper switch off and replacing it with Fibre. Pop Telecom were happy to accept my order upgrading my account until they checked my address with the Openreach system which says my address cannot have fibre or any other hybrid system. Contacted them again and this time Paz delved deeper into the problem with Openreach and address data bases finally finding the discrepancy and now Full Fibre is on order. Could not have achieved this on my own as Openreach WILL NOT speak to private individuals even though there are the cause of the issue. Heaven knows how an AI could have fixed this so thanks again Paz and Pop.

I was struggling with broadband setup steps so I sent the mail about it. Alfred called me immediately and helped me with whole setup smoothly to have it working for me. Really appreciate your help and expertise, Alfred

I needed some assistance with setting up my router and Mark was fantastic. Not only did he follow up on behalf of the company with my request for a 9am call so I could WFH without connectivity issues, but he diagnosed and solved my router issue quickly. All resolved in less than ten minutes. Not all heroes wear capes, thank you Mark - you made my day infinitely better! What a legend - give him a payrise.

Alfred called me and helped me to properly set up my router. We ran a diagnostic speed test together and he stayed on the line until I had tested some devices and now my connection is working! Thanks Alfred for finding the solution to my glitching WiFi! Great customer service, really helpful.

If I could leave no stars I would!! ,out of contract and no information to say so ,bills for a vulnerable lady of 92 went to over a hundred pounds a month and when we tried to leave it takes over a month , no calls within the promised time frame and no replies to my emails after the single email pop sent me asking questions and for confirmation of the cancellation.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS !!
POOR SERVICE !!
NON EXISTENT COMMUNICATION!!
MAKE YOU JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO LEAVE !!

went live today and contacted alfred at pop telecom to check about changeover and he provided data for router and all done within minutes ....could not be faulted excellent service.

I took out a 12-month fixed rate broadband deal with them, after checking with their agent that their product was appropriate for my flat. They sent the router by post, after the cooling off period had ended, and then the router did not work. They refused to cancel my contract even though the router they'd sent me was useless, on grounds that I was in the contract period - due to their deliberate slowness. I would advise everyone to avoid this company as they take your money and don't deliver the promised service.

Josie was excellent- I had a small issue on changeover day with my router and she went away and found the solution, promptly called me back and resolved everything. Very good customer service

Spoke to Alfred, really great service. I was struggling with setting up by myself for over an hour, I eventually rang and he sorted it out completely for me in under ten minutes and I didn’t even have to hold the line or anything. Very impressed, should have rung sooner!

Josie was very help helpful and patient with me. I am not very computer aware, and she spent at least 25 minutes walking me through how to reset my internet. She stayed very calm when i got flustered.
