Liams work is absolutely amazing! We were that in love with our first ever purchase from Liam that we bought rad covers for our whole house. We then had Liam make our tv bed, sideboard and our fireplace. The company have been nothing but amazing and the staff have been super helpful with all aspects. The quality is amazing and we have had an unbelievable amount of compliments on all of our pieces. Thank you so much for your amazing products. I could not recommend this company enough. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!!

I placed an order with Liam for a cover as most of the high street flat pack options didn't have the height l needed, so as Liam makes to order, this was perfect for me received an estimated delivery date which was a little longer than expected but as we are making to order this was understandable then nearer the date got another email saying my order was coming by private courier which is what happened. I am extremely happy with my order and would definitely use again, workmanship is second to none many thanks, just think communication could be a bit better just for reassurance for some people.

I'm so disappointed with my order and to be honest wish I had read some of the reviews here before placing my order. After researching loads we came across Liam and Au Unique. I even checked them out on instagram - they looked great - and wanted to support a small business, so did not order from Etsy but went direct so they get more profit. We ordered a radiator cover in November and paid extra for a custom Farrow & Ball colour they offer and a 'light oak' top. Two months later it arrived, with a 'dark oak' top and in a completely different colour! It even had the incorrect detail written on the back. Our walls are in the same custom colour so we know it is wrong - but not just a little but - the colour is waaaay off. And it had been over sprayed in one corner by a much lighter/white colour and had a chip in the top. It was so disappointing after waiting so long. It was definitely our unit as the measurements matched. We triple checked our order before sending it and I even repeated the custom colour in the free comments section with the Farrow and Ball code to prevent any kind of mix up. The only positive is the build quality seems good so they get 1 star for that. Okay, so we are reasonable people and mix ups happen. It's how a company sort out these things when they happen. We sent them photos of what we had been sent next to the correct colour, pictures of our original order receipt showing what we had ordered, pictures of the over spraying and chip. They were slow to respond and only did so after quite a bit of persistence. They promised to send us a light oak top or collect back what they had sent. No offer to send the correct order! We figured we can replace the top for correct one and re-paint the main unit ourselves, so suggested a £50 gesture of goodwill to cover the cost of the paint and time to rectify - which we felt was very reasonable. All of a sudden we get a compete refund, an apology that the workmanship was poor, not their usual standard and no more contact. Whilst we are grateful for the acknowledgement and refund, I can't now recommend them to others. A full refund was not really what we wanted - we just wanted what we ordered! So it looks like we won't be getting promised light oak top to replace the incorrect one, and we need to sand the whole thing back and start again. It's not about the money, it's about the time and hassle we now have. They did offer to collect it, but, well their delivery system was also an issue in terms of not coming when it is due and it means waiting in all day for collection and then again for correct one to be sent back. And no offer of the correct order being sent. So another 2 days off work which we just can't do. If we wanted to make one ourselves, we would not have ordered one (order number 3654 in case they try and say this is a fake review as apparently they get lots of fake reviews that are negative).

I am sorry to be here to add to the increasing number of complaints about this company. In my experience you find out what a company's like by how they treat their customers when things go wrong and, despite the fine words on their website, this company couldn't care less about their customers. No-one answers the phone, voicemail messages go unanswered and emails get regularly ignored.
I ordered a radiator cover in early November 2023. At the beginning of January I received an email to say that delivery would be on the 11th. I waited in all afternoon for nothing. No delivery, no calls and no answers. Since then it's been a total nightmare; every day chasing for answers.
Totally hacked off with it, so I am now waiting for a full refund in order to put this dreadful experience behind me. Hopefully, my money will be refunded quickly or I will have to chase this through the Small Claims Court. Utterly disgraceful!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BUSINESS I never write reviews but I feel so strongly about this that I have been left with little option but to share my experience and warn other potential customers of his. I want to point out that this was the second time I had ordered and after a bad experience the first time, I was stupid enough to go back.

I placed an order on 11 November 2023 and was advised of a 4-8 week delivery time. My order totalled almost £300.00. Many weeks passed with no contact. 10 weeks later, I contacted them and Amy told me that my order was complete and on its way. Another two weeks passed with no contact. I contacted Amy again and she said that my order was coming on Monday via Parcel Force. I stupidly accepted this.

On Monday morning I contacted Parcel Force to ask if there was a package scheduled for delivery - they confirmed no.

I contacted Amy again to ask what was going on (only by email because no one EVER picks up the phone) she said she’d ‘sort it out’. A few hours later I receive notification that my order has been refunded! They have had my money for 11 WEEKS and LIED through their teeth about my order being complete and it being ‘on its way to me’. I can’t believe I’m saying this but the exact same thing happened last year with this company but I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

I doubt anyone will reply to this review - they have no excuse - the facts are all there. I don’t know what the purpose of this business is exactly?? All I can think is that it is a SCAM that keeps your money for a few months, earns interest for them and then they give it you back?? If Liam and his business are genuine then he needs to ask himself some SERIOUS questions about how he runs it. People hand over their money in good faith only for it to be thrown back in their faces months later with no explanation. I’m DISGUSTED.

Great communication and item delivered promptly as promised. The workmanship is beautiful and have received many compliments. So pleased with my bespoke radiator cover would definitely recommend. Thank you Liam.

An excellent service. I gave specific dimensions and we wanted to paint it the same colour as our walls. Liam provided the item primed and ready for painting and we also varnished the top which he had stained a dark oak for us. We love the result.

Exceptional service from Liam and the team at unique designs, I was thrilled to find a company like this I received my order just before Christmas on the date stated and the skill and craftsmanship that’s gone in to the piece is like no other. Delivery driver was also very helpful.

Looking at some of the other reviews mainly based around cancellation just shows they refund monies if unable to complete which isn’t a scam company seems as though there are some bitter people out there, there’s no furniture out there delivered fully assembled to this quality suppose I’d be annoyed, a little 😅

1 star is even a push for this company, please please do not use them !!!! I never write bad reviews but the service received has been shocking.

We ordered a radiator cover back in October, we were told it was ready to be dispatched in November but no one ever got back to us.

After various voicemails left, emails etc no one was getting back to us - the lack of communication is very frustrating !! They finally replied and said they would get back to me urgently, this never happened so emails were sent again (no reply). Eventually, I received an email to say that it would be scheduled for delivery - this was perfectly fine as all I wanted was an update.

Today I have found out they have cancelled the order due to not being able to meet the needs despite it already being completed and looking at previous reviews, it’s the norm for this company to do this! 12 week wait for nothing.

Again, please do not order for this company !!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The main reason for cancellation is that two separate discount codes were added to the order unfortunately this is not accepted I notified Klarna of the cancellation prior to the Christmas period.

I am a very skilled carpenter and VAT registered which due to the amount of discount codes added doesn't even cover myself, my staff or VAT.

I have over 2000 5-star reviews across all platforms if I need to cancel an order for a valid reason and a negative review comes from this, this is out of my control.

I have no idea how this company is up & running, I ordered the radiator via the website directly with a discount less than what they are currently offering… imagine making the order (confirmed in November) then after a total of 12 weeks cancelling because you cannot run a business properly! Simply shocking.

I hate to be the person to add to poor reviews, bit I ordered a bespoke radiator from this company. Zero contact from them until the day before a delivery driver arrived (which they apparently organised with me....they didn't). Delivery couple turned up and my order was not on the van (it drove from Manchester to Edinburgh without it on!!). They managed to get Liam to contact me. Excuses were made and I said I'd happily wait and mistakes happen....it's now over 5 weeks later and they are ignoring ALL attempts to contact. I've really tried and remained polite throughout. Looks like I'll me losing £70 through having to apply for my refund through the small claims court....I'm so angry!

Ordered the poppy radiator cabinet on Etsy and it's absolutely stunning. The pictures don't do the product justice. It's exceptionally made and I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about buying, to do it. You won't regret it.
Communication was excellent from start to finish. Amy helped before I ordered and when, two weeks after placing the order I wanted an adjustment, the seller was willing to do so. There was a slight issue with the item but the seller dealt with this very quickly. A measure of a company isn't how they respond when things go well but how they deal with things when they don't. And this company went above and beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend them.

Shocking experience attempting to buy from this seller, and disheartening to now see that so many others have had an equally dreadful experience.

Ordered a motorised TV unit mid October and initially was told the order would arrive between 16 Nov and 2 Dec…great, I thought - we’ll get hold of a second hand TV for when it arrives and will be able to have a film night for my eldest child’s birthday in early December. I contacted Amy and Liam to ask if they had a smaller window within the timeframe so I could make arrangements to be home to receive the delivery, and they said in fact it would be arriving 18-19 Dec, so we had to disappoint our little one and say we couldn’t have the birthday film night after all.

Having arranged to be at home 18-19 Dec to receive the delivery, we then received a message a couple of days before, saying it would be 20 Dec. However, by that point, we had booked a family Christmas outing with non-refundable tickets that day, thinking the item would have arrived the day before at the latest. After asking if any friends and neighbours could be around to receive the delivery on 20 Dec, and making arrangements for a friend to receive it, I got a refund notification from Etsy (no reason given).

The money, however, did not arrive in my account for almost 3 days, and I had zero response to the numerous messages sent to Liam and Amy…it was a high value item and to spend almost 3 days with no item, no returned funds and no communication, just before Christmas, felt really concerning.

Eventually the refund money appeared in our account and I received a terse message saying there was a fault with the mechanism and it wouldn’t be ready for Christmas, so without any prior communication, they had issued a refund.

We have wasted 9 weeks for a bespoke item that never arrived and they had our money all that time. I struggle to believe the faulty mechanism was a genuine reason - it was supposed to be a made to measure item in a bespoke, paint matched colour. Why would the seller want to keep hold of it, rather than offer a gesture of good will refund of 10-15% for the delay and dispatch to me once the mechanical replacement part had arrived? I genuinely wonder if the TV unit ever even got made.

I definitely feel like something dodgy is going on with this company - even the fact that they have changed their name seems a bit suspect. Save yourself the stress and buy elsewhere.

Do not order from this company if you want a reliable service and good communication. I put in my request for the order on 3rd August. I was then told I had to resubmit all the details, measurements and photos again on 22 September as apparently they were lost. Payment was then taken on 3 October and I was given a delivery date of 15/16 October. Unfortunately I was on holiday and so I asked for a new date. Since then I have totally lost count of the number of messages I have sent to get a new delivery date, none of which have been answered. Then after submitting a message via the contact form I finally got a reply on 29 November at which time I was told the new delivery date would be on 15/16 December and I would receive a message giving a time slot. As nothing was forthcoming and the delivery date was in a few days I sent two more messages asking for confirmation of the delivery. I then received a message today to say the order was cancelled and refund given. An absolutely appalling way to treat a customer. Just wonder if Trading Standards should be informed as obviously I’m not the first customer this has happened to.

Really impressed with our radiator cover. The finish is perfect, all of the customisations we've requested have been done and it seems really good quality.

It took about 7 weeks to come, which was about a week after the estimate, but that was fine as you expect this for bespoke items.

We were given a one hour delivery slot on the day. It was a few hours late, but again it wasn't too much of an inconvenience and not too late.

I found Uniquedesignbyliam on instagram because I was looking for a radiator cover with working drawers. I found one I liked, used the measuring tips as described on the website. Ordering was easy and it was made in my opinion quickly. Delivery was as described in an email I was sent.
The piece itself is beautiful, I have wanted something like this for a while and thought I would never find someone to make it for me.
I personally cannot find a single fault with my experience of this company and would recommend them to friends family and I would definitely buy from again.
