Unfortunately my experience with purchase of carpets at united carpets wasn’t great. At first everything was great, but when it came to actually fitting the carpets the surprise started arise. Lady tooked from us our own measurements, we discussed for over 40min at the store what we exactly need. We asked for bigger carpet to our living room just to have some extra, and still carpet was cut incorrectly. We asked for siedzę 4on 5m but we received 16m2.
To one of the bedrooms carpet was short 5cm, so we had to use the second carpet that was meant to go to bigger bedroom, and yet the bigger carpet wasn’t cut properly for bigger bedroom, as I did said to lady that we need carpet which is 5m wide not 4m. So we ended up with one spare carpet, as I had to spend extra money for another one to bigger bedroom. Even tho I did complain and at first I was told it is ok and I’ll be refunded £200 (we paid £260) then she changed her mind over the phone and said we CANT be refunded, because that’s what the agreement says.
When we were choosing carpets they have had end of one carpet, good quality great price. We asked for all of it, she said no problem, they will have enough, they will get it ready for us! Then again she changed her mind starting some excuses that she is not sure if they have enough etc etc. So we tooked more expensive one.

Even though she wrote down our measurements on her notes and on invoice there is strict note 4x5m. She calculated this as 16m2…!!! How?!
We asked for set of new gritters, and again she calculated how many we will need. So we ended up with full box of unused stuff which we paid for and now we can’t get our money back!
I do not recommend, if you don’t want to spend your money and throw them out to bin then do not use this company because there will be no help and refunds after all!

Such a great selection of carpets. Plenty to choose from. Prices were so competitive and we found exactly what we were looking for. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Always come here for my carpets. They cannot be beat.

Selected stair carpet & underlay, very helpful staff but not pushy to get a sale. Carpet fitters were prompt to times given. Because of patterns on Carpet it made the job more difficult but matched up perfectly on stairs & landing. Very polite lads & no mess. Thank you.

me and my partner came to United carpets yesterday on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. we spoke to their adviser and he was so helpful.from this we have now booked them to measure up to install new carpets for the whole of up stairs landing and stair case.Thankyou Taylor for your help it was very much appreciated. cant wait till they get fitted 😊

I have used United carpets and beds in Worksop on several occasions now and I have always been happy with the service I received. There is a good choice at affordable prices. Marie is so lovely and approachable, she will go the extra mile to make sure you are happy. Its always nice when staff are friendly and helpful. We had Olly as our fitter and again he was lovely and approachable, very polite and friendly, he did a great job. I will continue to carry on using United carpets in the future, I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing new flooring...Maureen Reeves. Retford.

I purchased a carpet on the 18th of August. It came visibly stained, with multiple orange coloured marks. I promptly phoned the store, to which I was met with the offer of having the fitter come back and attempt to clean the £400 carpet I had purchased.

I sent an email documenting its condition and received a call from management, who offered a full replacement, which I considered satisfactory. Sadly, this was not carried out with any care at all. The walls within my property have been marked by the handling of the carpet, and the fitting isn’t top tier either, with loose sections and visible ripples.

We have used United Carpets for years without any issues. It’s very disheartening to not only have this happen, but to then be treated with hostility after attempting to reach an amicable resolution.

I documented the condition of the walls and raised the issue regarding the carpet being loose. This was met with an outright denial of liability with respect to both the marked walls and the damage, and explicit confirmation that no remedy of any sort would be provided.

I emailed corporate and they forwarded it to the store, where the manager and owner were needlessly hostile towards my polite request for money towards the paint, to account for the damage to my walls they caused. I witnessed them try to manoeuvre it up the stairs and cause the damage. The owner was present throughout the process and management refused to accept any liability the second time, completely contradicting the written response I received regarding the stained carpet, in which the manager accepted full liability. This will help me if I’m forced to attend a small claims court, which is almost inevitable at this point.

Blaming furniture for transit stains and claiming pre-existing wall damage after workers handled the installation is incredibly frustrating. I was extremely polite in my initial communication, and it absolutely did not warrant the response I received.

It’s worth noting that the owner himself denied any liability in relation to the carpet stains, claiming they’re due to “furniture in the property” and the wall stains are “local causes at the property”.

I watched both him and the fitter drag and manoeuvre the carpet up the stairs like I said, exactly where the scuffs are.

It looks like I’ll have to go to court to cover the damage to my property.

Very dishonest business.

Perfect customer service

When attending the shop I was unsure how the carpet buying process would go. I was welcomed by Fraser and shown around the room. Listened to when explaining the measurements and advised on what to look for. Once I had sometime to look around, Fraser came over to check on me and helped me find alternatives to what I had previously wanted but they must have sold. Within about 5 minutes I had the perfect carpets and vinyl to kit out my home. I was then shown to the underlay and told about the great deal of free fitting with underlay purchased. I was more than happy with the upsell of the underlay as the cost didn't differ to much for a thicker quality. When ready we went to the till to check dates for fitting, which gave me enough time to plan decorating ready for the carpet.

After sales customer service was also second to none. They fit me in for a different date for one of my rooms without any problems and was more than happy to work with me on this. Fraser explained the cost breakdown and made me feel comfortable the entire time. I'm normally a little nervous with considered purchases but I felt totally confident with the customer service and more than happy to recommend United Carpets.

They have friendly staff and a good selection of carpets. Hassle free.

Gaz was our carpet fitter. He was professional, friendly, and did a fantastic job. The smell and look of a new carpet makes you think where else needs a new carpet in the house. . Thanks Gaz you did a great job.

Matt at the Ripley store was very patient me, I do stress n get realy anxious. Matt made sure I was ok, then showed me some Lino and carpet that fit with my budget, he didn’t push me to buy more expensive, he was lovely, the Lino I wanted had to be ordered in, it arrived in store sooner than expected, Matt rang me straight away, n changed the date for fitters, bringing it forward by a few days, I was so happy with that. Thank you Matt ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kieron the fitter was lovely, chatty n had good conversation mainly about music n the nightlife that used to be😆, had a really good laugh. I will say Keiron is a perfectionist, very good at his job n so polite n understanding to meet my needs. This world needs more Kieron’s and Matts in it, what a chilled fun time we would all have. Definitely 5 star to the Derbyshire store and Keiron the fitter. I would definitely come back. Thank you guys so much 😊⭐️⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️
